I am very displeased writing this review for several reasons:

  1. I've seen red poke several times and I've been wanting to try but I was very unhappy with my choice. It could be my choice of items or I just didn't like the taste of the items. Out of 10... I give it a 6. I was not fond of the rice at all. It was not the type of brown rice I'm use to. I will say I love the chicken and salmon as they were fresh. This was my first time experiencing edamame and it wasn't bad. I will have it again. The sesame sauce was okay but nothing memorable about it. I love the add ins of corn and cucumbers. Maybe I need to try I different bowl to be wowed but I sadly wasn't wowed. But what I was wowed on was this:

Red poke is conveniently located on 8th avenue. Compared to other poke places I've been to, its cheap and the customer service is amazing with a capital A. I love how you choose your options with a marker when you first enter but if you have any questions the staff will explain in detail your options. Most places would rush you along.

Its very clean and cozy.

They give you a punch card for frequent mealers.

All in all, the experience was fabulous even though I was not sold on the food. But I'll try it again because their customer service was at it's best I don't want to close my book on...

Quite good! The bowls are prepared right in front of you and the overall atmosphere inside is quite comfortable. The workers are very nice as well. I just think they could be a little more generous with the proteins. In my opinion, the bowls are very carb heavy and lack the protein to balance it out. I also highly recommend AGAINST the quinoa; it is rather bitter and doesn't really taste good. For the best flavor and texture experience I recommend the white rice or brown rice (or both). For first timers looking for a fish bowl: Chef Yun's Favorite. If you're looking for a cooked meat bowl, you can't go wrong with the Seoul Beef Bulgogi Bowl.

Be sure to ask for the loyalty card if ur not offered one! For each bowl you buy you get a stamp on the card. Once you reach 10 bowls/stamps you get one for...

Update: i’m marking down the review from five stars to three. While the ingredients and quality have not changed, the service has exponentially gone downhill. The service is quite frankly abysmal. You have to be on top of your order while your bowl is being made just to make sure that you get everything that you ordered.

Previous review: To be honest, when I saw this place I assumed it was just another generically average at best poke place in a heavily tourist area.

But as it turns out, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a Korean fusion take on Poke with a lot of side and protein options.

You can either choose from a signature bowl, or customize exactly how you wish (which is the best way to go).

As Poke bowl places go, this is a new favorite and definitely...

Got stinky and fishy yellow tail in my bowl. Called them immediately to notify them after the first bite. The people picked up the phone were rude, and The Response i got: “We have 500 customers and you are the only one complaining.” I asked if it’s needed for me to take the food back to store and let them try themselves, then he said only their manager can deal with this, and the manager is not in the store, so i will wait for two days for their manager to call me. 🙃 RESULT: No apologies, No call back, Nothing. I don’t mind to pay for a bowl of bad fishes once, but the way they deal with this situation will for sure lose them frequent returning customers like me.

The best poke I've honestly ever had. The options are endless, the portions are generous. Even ordering is made simple and they work fast. I got salmon poke with the beef bulgogi over a bed of greens and rice. I loved the unlimited options of toppings and ended up trying most. The creamy kimchi dressing was surprisingly the perfect kick to the bowl but I still neededbthe ponzu sauce on the side. I ate the whole thing and didn't feel heavy or bloated. And the healthy serving of avocado was only $1!!! The bowl was only $17, very reasonable for the quality and overall quantity. I am so impressed with this place and will definitely be coming back.

Stayed at the nearby Marriott Courtyard on Broadway and wanted a healthy, quick, easily transportable dinner option. This place was perfect. Bright, open and spacious restaurant with seating. There are laminated menus and erasable markers to pick everything for the make your own bowl option. The menu was well organized and easy to understand all the available options. I got the smaller bowl but it was still huge. I opted for tofu, and it was delicious. They allowed two sauces, and I got them on the side. The bowls and utensils were also made of compostable materials, which was nice. I'll definitely stop by again if I'm in midtown again!
