TLDR: Good pizza, good spaghetti, good pita, haven't tried other stuff so can't comment on them. Pizza is kinda different from most other places, closest I can compare to would be mainstream pizza chains' pan pizzas, where the crust is really crisp, but middle is still soft, and toppings are very generous and fresh. Staff might be hit or miss depending on if the nice manager dude is there or not.
Details: Been here a few times both when it was bellerose, and now that it merged with savage wings. I'm kinda picky and only had their pizzas, spaghetti, and pita. They were all pretty good. Their grilled chicken is really good (tasty, got that fresh actually grilled taste and smell), and they usually cut the chicken breast so it's like strips of tenders, even though I normally dislike meats from most places. Now that I've had these, I think maybe other places just didn't cook it right.
Their pizza is different, in a good way. It's not like the typical NYC pizza like in the city or even the other pizza shop nearby, nor is it like the chain store pizzas. From experience, I'd highly recommend that you eat the pizza asap when you get it, because once it cool down and you reheat it at home, while still good, it just wouldn't be the same anymore. I live like 10 min away walking distance, and even that short time + microwave makes a difference when compared to eating it on the spot. One of the main reasons is because their toppings are fresh, and they also put a lot of it. So for example, if you green peppers and other veggies, they will taste different when you reheat it, vs. eating it fresh. Although if you mainly get meat toppings, this wouldn't be as big of a problem.
The main staff seem to be the same, esp the nice and straight up Italian dude. But when he isn't around, other staff can be kinda rude, or try to close 30 min before their closing time. So try to go when that dude is around, for the...
Read moreUpdate: They're temporarily closed. They didn't bother to update their UberEats listing though--they still show as open. Update: Had a couple great delivery experiences through GrubHub. This restaurant employs its own delivery staff, and they're much better than the major delivery platforms.
In one instance, I placed an order for 9:30 pm. Most delivery apps will give you a 30 minute window (so 9:15-9:45), and they'll sometimes miss that window. Rego Park Savage Wings called to ask if they could change the delivery time to 9:15 because they had other deliveries at 9:30. I agreed. They showed up at 9:16. And the wings were great as always. I ordered buffalo wings through Yelp, for delivery. They don't have many wing or dipping sauces to choose from, but I liked the ones had. The wings arrived about 20 minutes early.
The wings were sizable and juicy, and they came with plenty of dipping sauce. They also threw in some carrot and celery sticks, which was a nice surprise.
If you want no-frills buffalo wings at a reasonable price, this should be your go-to place in this...

First off, their wings are well over $1 per wing. Whereas you can find much better wings for less than 50 cents. The wings I got were not fully cooked, and tasted like car tires. Had that awful taste all night. Not enough water on God’s earth would make it go away. The carrots and celery they give on the side (4 pieces) were as small as a pinky finger.
In a previous visit, where I was starving after a long day, their Philly Cheesesteak was not fulfilling or delicious whatsoever.
The thin and dried out pizza slices on display looks as solid as a boulder. Pizza slices are small and distasteful like the rest of the items on the menu. I sat down for a slice with a few friends, and even saw a small bug on the wall near the display.
This is the type of business to invest so much on looks, and charge extra for awful food. Prices are total rip offs. The staff isn’t welcoming or friendly either. I’d rather make the long trip...
