Service and food were both bad.
Service: THE WORST. Completely dysfunctional. You order at the glass counter with nothing labeled from one or 2 guys but then they just pile everybody's order in bags and trays together behind the counter and don't label them or remember who ordered what. 2 registers for 1 line with one guy going between both. He checked out two people behind me in line before me because he just randomly changed to the other register. I had to request help because he totally ignored me standing in front of the register that he had checked out the person in front of me at. Then they don't know what sandwich i ordered and just show me a bunch of bags and go "is this it?" They showed me like 4 wrong sandwiches and then determined they accidentally gave my sandwich to somebody else and blamed "customers taking the wrong one" even though they were holding them behind the counter and handing them to customers at checkout. They also had trouble finding what the guy in front me ordered so it was not just me. I was so annoyed I almost left. I should have because the food was bad. A woman finally stepped in to help me but I had to squeeze back through the line and pick another sandwich because they didn't know what I ordered then go back to checkout. The woman took care of my order with no issues, and I'm grateful to her, but it's too late to change my opinion of this place. AWFUL.

Read moreRosetta Bakery on 42nd Street is a delightful gem in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries welcomes you in, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The display case is filled with beautifully presented croissants, focaccia, sandwiches, and desserts that make it hard to choose just one.
The pistachio croissant is a standoutâflaky, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Their focaccia is soft, flavorful, and generously topped, making it a great savory option. Coffee lovers will also be pleased; their espresso drinks are smooth, bold, and a great complement to any pastry.
The staff is courteous and efficient, though the space can get a bit crowded during peak hours. Still, the line moves quickly and the food is well worth the short wait. Prices are slightly on the higher end, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients make it a fair trade-off.
Whether youâre grabbing a quick breakfast, enjoying an afternoon snack, or picking up a treat for later, Rosetta Bakery delivers a consistently satisfying experience. Itâs a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality baked goods with a...
Read moreThey may have a great location in a busy touristy part of town, they may have a bright and spacious interior to serve many customers at once, they may be popular with the sheer volume of people flow and an attractive exterior - certainly attracted me - and they may even offer nicely prepared food (although the almond tart I bought was too sweet for me and I left most of it uneaten) ... Unfortunately, all of these merits were ruined for me when their counter staff epitomized the phrase "service with a snarl"! I was surprised that a cafe/bakery this size does not provide a good selection of teas, and the counter staff was super impatient by yelling at me that - no! we don't have Early Grey! And (stop standing there to ask me questions!) go over there to pick up your tea bag if you want tea! And what? Non-dairy milk? No we don't have any of those! And (how stupid can you be to not know that) whatever you are looking for is behind you on that counter! The phrases inside the parentheses are my personal interpretation of the attitude, not actual words spoken to me. I truly regretted my decision to enter the premises. I should have satisfied my thirst and...
