I recently dined at Salvaje for a birthday celebration with a group of 10. The establishment was beautiful and the music was great. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, particularly in terms of service and organization. We had reserved a table for two hours, and upon arrival, they combined a few smaller tables to accommodate our group. However, the waiter didn't take our order until 45 minutes into our reservation, which delayed the food considerably. By the time our large order was brought out, we were already nearing the end of our allotted time. At no point did the waiter inform us that we were running out of time, nor did they ask if we wanted to extend our reservation or wrap up the meal—something most restaurants typically offer in these situations. Once our two hours were up, the staff removed one of the tables while we still had food on it, leaving two guests without a seat. Telling me that we went over our two hour reservation. When I expressed that this was uncomfortable and unprofessional, the waiter suggested they squeeze in the remaining guests near the DJ, in a corner that was cramped and hard to navigate. The area had very little space to get in or out, and it made our group feel rushed and uncomfortable. To their credit, the manager offered us shots in an attempt to make up for the situation, and after further discussion, they removed the appetizers from our bill. They also brought us champagne, but unfortunately, the glasses were not clean. While the ambiance at Salvaje is beautiful, the service was disappointing and lacking in professionalism. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend sitting at the bar where the experience may be better, but based on our visit, I’m unlikely to return in the future.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but my experience at Salvaje Social Club last night was honestly ridiculous. The bartenders, servers, and security team were all great — no issues there. But the DJs completely ruined the night. I tipped both of them well just to play one song. When the first DJ ignored it, I assumed maybe he forgot, so I tipped the second one too. Still nothing. Four hours went by. I even spoke to the manager (light-skinned guy with long hair), and STILL they never played my request. If you don’t take song requests, that’s fine — just say so. I would’ve happily spent my money on more drinks instead. But to take my money twice and completely ignore me? That’s not just unprofessional — it’s flat-out disrespectful. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 10 years, and I would never treat a guest like that. It’s not even about the song anymore — it’s about basic customer service. Whether someone spends $20 or $2,000, every guest deserves to feel heard. This was disappointing, frustrating, and honestly unacceptable. (I went here Saturday 11:20-3:20)

I like this place a lot, the ambience is mostly what you come in for, but check your bill! They add the service charge to the bill and then the terminal asks for MORE as you’re signing. In my experience, service charge if it’s above a certain number of people, I was just with 1 other friend. I think their menu says gratuity is included, so just keep that in mind. Also, don’t order the tacos, it’s 16$ with such small portion of lettuce, guacamole and meat. The tortillas are hard and it’s disappointing for it to be so expensive. The meal was so simple for it to be so bad and expensive. The shrimp tostones are delicious though! When they opened, they used to give you 3 tostones. and now they decreased it to 2. I think it the food might decrease in quality as this place gets more popular unfortunately. Hopefully not! The drinks are great! Join the WhatsApp chat and you’ll get special deals!

I had an extremely positive experience with this club. I initially wrote to Salvaje on Instagram to reserve for a big party of 20 which ended up being more than 20 but they were able to accommodate us all.

From the moment I wrote to the IG page, the response was quick and explained with details what was required which was a deposit and the set amount to eat and consume. I explained that we were celebrating the end of the school year and I was in charge of finding a location with great music, ambience, service, food and drinks. This was definitely the place that provided all of the above.

All of our teachers and staff members from the school were very happy we choose this place. Andres not only helped me through the planning, reserving but also assisted us since the moment we walked in at 3PM. Yes , they also accommodated us by opening up an hour earlier. He was kind, attentive and respectful. Andres went above an beyond to provide us with such an excellent customer service!

I ordered a "Tarzan" picada although it had an amazing taste I feel that for our party it was too small. The drinks on the other hand were amazing. I tried the tamarindo, coconut and lulu margaritas they were all great!

The music was good and we kindly had suggestions on different types of music to play since we had a diverse party and Andres once again played what we asked for without any complaints. The only complaint I have was the AC it was super hot and humid inside the place. Maybe blasting the AC a little more would help.

We stayed until 10:30PM the only downside of staying until that time is that our table had reservations at 11PM. Although Andres was able to place the remainder of us on another table I thought it was a little out of proportion since we had been consuming and eating for a while. Nevertheless, I still would return but that needs to be taken into consideration. Maybe by providing us with a time so that we are aware of how long we have the reserved table.

Please consider this place for celebrations and definitely ask for "Andres" ! Thank you Salvaje for such a memorable day and to Andres for all your hard work...

I visited Salvaje on their soft opening week ( the menu was still on paper for some appetizers and drinks. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The atmosphere inside is that of a tropical jungle. It felt like a restaurant in Miami, but very chill vibe. We ordered tamarind mojitos, which didn't disappoint, albeit my friend didn't think they were strong enough for the price we were paying ($16) but still refreshing. We ordered the chicharron, ceviche, and shrimp tostones. The shrimp ceviche had mango and a milky dressing, which had a nice tang to it. To accompany the ceviche, they gave us some plantain chips, but the quantity was too small for the amount of ceviche served. I would recommend they give more chips because these paired deliciously. The tostones topped with shrimp were crispy, and shrimp was delicious. Now, the chicharron was to die for. It was dressed with a lemon/vinegar dressing and topped with pickled red onions. We ordered two of those. Because my cousin makes this chicharron concoction, I've tried it before, but it was the first time I've tasted it in Jackson Heights. I would recommend they re-fry the chicharron so it will be crispy and light and not get soggy with the dressing. Trust me, it will be a hit! In all, we enjoyed our visit to Salvaje.. We only hope it remains open as so many restaurants tend to open and close in Northern blvd. It gives the strip a cool and more high-end vibe,...
