This old Northern Chinese food court looks like a literal hole in the wall, nothing fancy, cheaper than dirt, faster than fast food, but a daily staple for locals. Not a good place for social outing, but rather a place for one to eat by their lonesome when they don't want anything fancy, just sustenance and some taste.

Their Gaba Cai, zhagao, Donkey Bone Broth, Chive Pockets, and Tofu Pudding are all absolutely delicious. Seriously, everything is packed with flavor and tastes just like home (or better!). Every bite reminds me of Northern Chinese comfort food done right.
Even when I fly in from the South or other states, I find myself planning how to squeeze in a visit to this place. It’s totally worth the detour.
