红雨美发沙龙 Hongyu hair salon — Local services in New York

My friend recommended this salon so I decided to try it myself and my overall experience was great! I had some trouble finding the place initially because it was on a very busy street packed with different shops, but the location is pretty convenient and the salon itself is clean and spacious.

It took around 5 hours total for my hair cut + digital perm because they took quite some time separating and treating my hair, which I had previously permed with bleached highlights. My stylist was really nice, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely concerned about preserving my hair's health the whole time. She also offered me water and snacks and was extremely patient! I've been to many salons for perms before; it is a long process so the stylist normally seems tired or annoyed towards the end but she was very professional all the way through and didn't rush anything. I forgot to ask for her name (oops) but she had short lavender-ish hair. The lady who washed my hair multiple times and the other staff were also really kind - they all seemed happy to work there so the atmosphere was comfortable.

There was a slight language barrier since most/all of the staff spoke Mandarin (and I pretty much only speak English) but my stylist spoke to me in English just fine. I would definitely go back again and recommend this place to anyone looking for professional hair salon services....

Literally so good bro. AAA it’s so nice! The people are very friendly and do speak a bit of English. (I don’t speak Chinese) So it was easy showing my references. I got a long layered cut with bangs,,, it was amazing! They washed my hair throughly 2-3 times and added hair treatment or conditioner.(that was free) The hair massage while they were washing my hair was phenomenal! The lady also throughly towel dried my hair and her and the male stylist blow dried my hair. The guy who did my hair was super nice and let me add any changes to my hair. He was quick and fast and got to work. He nicely styled and combed my hair. The people are really kind and they also use a helpful translator app to communicate with you. Lovely place. Would go over there again next time. Highly recommended!!🌷💕

Came back again almost a year later. Perfect. Actually they did even better than my reference photo. My go-to salon. 💞

I couldn’t be happier than ever after my first experience in this amazing salon, I’m not familiar with the area but I needed so bad a change of style in my hair, so I found this salon for the good reviews that it has and I decided to give it a try for a haircut. I totally loved the results, The team that works here were amazing, 🧡the stylist who cut my hair did such a great-professional job, I was amazed with her ability to work quickly and accurately with her hands and she was so sweet even when there had been a little language barrier, but she tried her best to communicate with me about the style that I was looking for and give me the peace of mind 🧡that I need it, believe me I’m really meticulous with my hair and don’t trust anyone with it; But the way how they welcomed me so friendly and the good vibes✨✨✨ that Everyone had there made me feel so comfortable and let me trust them and I’m so happy to have put my hair in such a good hands.
