Lovely small restaurant on Eldridge Street! Super cute restaurant!!! Very intimate and inviting atmosphere in the restaurant. My colleagues and I were greeted by the friendly owner as soon as we opened the door. Seems to be a family operated business, a rare thing to see in Chinatown these days.
Serves very fresh Poké style (and bento box) items. For their Poké selection there is salmon, spicy tuna, octopus, and organic tofu. For the order it comes with a selection of white rice, salad and in my case was also offered quinoa. Also get to select a side of crunchies for some added texture and flavor. I ordered the spicy tuna with quinoa, but was later told they don't have enough quinoa so the owner apologetically offered me salad or white rice for my order. The cold drinks here are wonderfully made by owner.
All in all, the order took about 10minutes to make. The poké bow may look small but it does pack a punch even as a salad order. It came with a lot of fixings! Got guacamole, seaweed salad, some pickles veggies in there, mango chucks. Each bite was booming with flavors. The owner was bubbly when we told her how awesome the food was.
Limited seating - one communal table, small two seater and a counter space....
Read moreI love that poke is suddenly a new trend and fad in NYC. Before -- I couldn't find ANY places for poke, and now there are several in my area!
I've been here twice now. First time I had the spicy tuna, and the second time with ahi tuna. Both are very good. Bubble tea was good too -- however, I'm still a sucker for Boba Guys, and nothing compares to that.
However, there's not much seating -- it's a super tiny place -- but if you stare at people long enough, they'll start to leave.
I should also say, that the service there is good -- but slow. I've noticed that with me and some other customers, they were talking amongst themselves in Cantonese and didn't notice their customers were standing there until a few minutes later.

Read moreI found this new little gem while in the neighborhood, and it didn't disappoint! I was so excited to see a poke place in the area. I stopped in on a Friday around 8pm to find the little cozy spot filled with customers. I ordered the salmon poke bowl ($9.50), which was a great deal and the cheapest considering all the poke places I've tried out in the city. The people running the place are super friendly, and brought out my food and even asked for feedback. The salmon tasted fresh and all the toppings worked well with the bowl! Although you don't have a choice of toppings, the pre-set toppings are perfect accompaniments. They also sell bento boxes. When I'm in the area, I will...
