I rented out the upstairs space for a private event for my birthday. Initially i discussed all info with John through email. I was shown the space before booking. I was told the the upstairs would be closed off for the public, food would be replenished throughout the 3 hours. Unfortunately the communication between management and bartenders wasn’t great. The bartender did not know it was open bar and was charging my guests. We were able to get it sorted out quickly. The upstairs was not closed off so there were many people coming upstairs that I did not know and had to ask them to leave bc it was a private event. Food Was not replenished and the second bartender was aggressive and not very pleasant. At the end of the night when it came time to pay I zelled a Justin who the bartender was communicating with. He continued to call her to speak to me and say he had not received payment. I informed him that this was a large payment (1,200+) so it may take time and it was a Sunday at this point as it was after 12am. We showed him all proof that the payment was sent, and that the money had been taken out my account but he continued to request more evidence despite us sending him multiple screenshots via the bartender. Even had her follow us outside to get yet another picture of my bank account. The space was beautiful and the first bartender was lovely but the service and communication were just not there. I would not rent this space for another...
Read morePoor management, good bar food. We had the mozzarella sticks and onion rings Came here to watch the Super Bowl because I read on their website that they were offering all you can eat (a selection of 10 different appetizers to choose from) and premium open bar all throughout the game for $75 per person. When we arrived for our reservation none of the bartenders or servers knew that the pub was offering that and I saw it online and they had made two post on instagram promoting it. When someone finally had some Information it was barely any. I was told “open bar, doesn’t include tip or taxes and everyone at the table had to do it and we could discuss the food because the server didn’t know what food was included in that. We ended up ordering regularly off the menu. I saw they had a drink menu online and when I tried ordering drinks off that menu the female waitress seemed confused telling me they didn’t have that drink and I had to show her the cocktail menu online. Another table was interested in the same thing and they were confused as well. Their server also told them all they could order was beer and wine, when a different server told me earlier it was open bar…..There’s no one to blame here, but poor management. The staff had no information about their promotions or the...
Read moreSlattery’s Midtown Pub is an absolute gem, and my experience there was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal.
Claire, the bartender, was the highlight of our visit. Her professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for her customers were truly impressive. She crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, with perfect balance and flavor in every sip. Her attention to detail and ability to read the room made the entire experience feel personal and special.
The food was equally outstanding. Their $15 lunch special is hands down the best deal in Midtown! The portions were generous, the flavors were spot on, and the quality far exceeded expectations for the price. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of value and taste.
The service overall was seamless, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure our time there was enjoyable. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite, a drink at the bar, or a leisurely meal, Slattery’s Midtown Pub delivers in every way.
