I came to the location on 23rd near Madison Square during lunch. I was met with smiles and greeting faces. I ordered my food and headed back to work as I sat to enjoy my baked chicken with rice beans and sweet plantains, I realized that my chicken was not fully cooked. I walked back to the restaurant where the manager inspected my plate and told me that the chicken was a little pink but it was cooked. I told her that I wa pregnant and that my food cannot be undercooked. She rolled her eyes and said that "Its not raw so what so you want me to do about it." I told her "its unacceptable to serve under cooked food with notification. "The chicken was so under cooked that the meat struggled to be cut apart. The manager offered another meal and I refused she gave have me a refund. But it was filled with eye rolling and deep sighs .... as if I hadn't wasted lunch break walking over to order food and then coming back to return it. This was SO UNPROFESSIONAL! && and it alarms me that she didn't care for the effects that undercooked meat can have on a baby. She should not be working in the food industry if she cant tell that pink chicken is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came to pick up my order which was supposed to be ready when I got there, but it wasn't. Once it was ready I grabbed it and headed home. Upon arrival, I realized that some items were missing, so I called the store. The Manager, Armando told me that if I want. I can come back to the store and pick up the missing items(15 minute walk, no thanks) because they can't refund partial orders. When I said that that wasn't an option, he told me he will need to speak to his boss to see if they can do a partial refund. A few minutes later, I realized that the order that I did recieve was wrong, not only was it missing items, the items that were there, were things I didn't order.. after reaching out again, it was 2 minutes after they 'close' to which Armando said that he isn't even supposed to be doing this, because they are closed already. And once I asked him the name of his boss, he claimed that he is the boss, and there is no one above him.. then he said they would refund me for my order. 10 days later, and I didn't recieve any refund. Terrible customer service, and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI eaten at many other Sophieās around the city. Spanish food is one of my favorites, especially Cuban food. I visited this location back in early September. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the staff. The restaurant wasnāt too busy so I didnāt have to wait a while to be serviced. I took my food to go however there were customers inside enjoying their meals. There is also an outdoor dining space. The food was really delicious packed with lots of flavor. I only wish this location served the roasted turkey like the one on Fulton Street. I think the Fulton Street location is the only one that serves roasted turkey all the other Sophieās locations Iāve been to does not serve roasted turkey. I also think the restaurant would save money by asking if the customers want the green sauce instead of just throwing it in the bag. I personally donāt like it and threw it out. The restaurant accepts cash or card. It is accessible via public transportation. It is also located near NYU Hospital...
