My husband and I have been loyal customers for some time, frequently ordering online without issue, and I have personally picked up orders in the past with no problems.
However, yesterday, when my husband went in to pick up our order, he was treated differently than other customers. A white woman who was ahead of him in line picked up her order without any questions or requests for identification. When my husband went to collect our order and they called his name, they suddenly requested his ID to verify his identity.
Normally, I wouldn’t have an issue with verifying an order, but I find it troubling that this request was made solely because of his race. It felt as though he was singled out for no apparent reason, especially since there were no concerns raised when the other customer—a white woman—received her order without any hassle. This experience has left us both feeling disappointed and disheartened.
We value your restaurant and have enjoyed our meals from you in the past, but this situation has raised concerns. I hope that you take this matter seriously and look into ways to ensure that all customers are treated...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my experience here. Nearly every dish had issues with preparation. For example, the malai kofta contained whole cardamom pods that were left in after blending, making it difficult to eat without constantly biting into them — these should have been removed before serving. The chicken tikka masala also had sharp shards of what seemed like cinnamon or another whole spice blended into the sauce, which completely threw off the texture.
Even the mango lassi had the same problem — it tasted like cloves had been blended in, leaving a gritty crunch instead of the smooth, creamy drink it should have been.
The koftas themselves were completely inedible. They were rock hard — so much so that they couldn’t even be cut with a fork or spoon, let alone chewed. Kofta are supposed to soft.
Overall, this was some of the most subpar Indian food I’ve had. The flavors had potential, but the execution and attention to detail were...
Read moreMy friend and I went for lunch on a Monday. We love Indian food and wanted to give this place a try. I order shrimp vindaloo and she ordered shrimp korma. Both dishes were very bad. The shrimp in both dishes were tough and completely tasteless as if they were boiled and then thrown into the sauces at the last minute. The vindaloo sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce with some type of pepper to make it hot. The Korma was sweet. Both dishes lacked the spices and flavors you expect in Indian food. Even the onion relish served with the papadum was bland. As for service, despite the fact that there was only one other table occupied, the server never checked on us or asked if we needed anything. Lastly, we thought that the food was overpriced and we were surprised to learn that they didn't offer a lunch menu. If this is anyone's first time trying Indian food, please don't use this place to...
