Sweet Linda — Restaurant in New York

I was excited to come to this place because it is so beautiful! The host at the door Xavier was so unnecessarily rude! I got there a couple minutes before the rest of my party, I was only waiting for the other half as we are a party of four and asked if we could just sit and get the table now. Yes, I did have a reservation! He said, “I can seat you BUT I need the table back by 9pm”. I was confused because we have a reservation and he’s acting like we’re negotiating. I thought he didn’t hear that I had a reservation so I said I did. He proceeded to say, “Are you not understanding?”. I’m sorry what? I was so uncomfortable, his vibe and attitude were disgusting! You are the point of contact to customers! First impression, and it left such a bad aura for the whole business. I only stayed because I planned the birthday and didn’t want to inconvenience the party. But my waitress was super sweet, too nice to be working there! Food is overpriced and below mid. Came here with my friends for some drinks. Went to the bathroom and knocked on the door, turns out the bartender comes out with an attitude yelling about me knocking. Then she proceeds to tell me to watch it because it’s “real smart to talk to the people making your drinks” lol. The drinks suck btw girl, go back to bartending school. Then the server decides to get involved and tell me to “stop yelling or he’s going to have to ask me to leave” he really thought he ate with that one lol. Real professional, as your bartender is literally screaming at a paying customer. The manager comes over and I’m telling him what’s going on & she then comes over trying to prove her point. This bar is very well decorated and I loved the vibe. Our server was nice and attentive, and service was quick. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were pretty disappointing. I came with a friend and we got the Walking Enzo and Petal Pusher cocktails, which both lacked flavor (tasted watery). We also got the spinach artichoke dip and the smash burger. The dip was weirdly dry and crumbly, unlike any spinach artichoke dip I've ever had before. It was also served with potato chips, which struck me as a strange choice for a heavy dip.
