Tajeen Halal Food Truck — Restaurant in New York

I'm convinced this place has as many stars as it does due to convenience. It's close to Shepard Hall and is probably the closest food truck at the CCNY campus. I ordered 3 different things at 3 different times and each time, I was very disappointed by the quality of food I received. Not to mention how outrageous the prices are, but I digress. When I ordered a combo platter(mix over rice), I was hoping for it to be as good as it looked but it just wasn't. The lamb was rock hard and the chicken was flavorless. The sauce did not help. The next time I ordered was about a week later, and I ordered a gyro. Man, it just wasn't good. Finally, I ordered one last time one week later. Third time's the charm, right? Wrong! I ordered a Philly cheese "steak." I put quotes around steak because they didn't use any. They made the Philly cheese steak with lamb. And the cheese wasn't even melted, just a slice of American cheese put on the sandwich. I was so annoyed. I hate wasting food but I could not finish this terrible sandwich and felt so bad throwing it away. I also bought a hot dog without realizing it was a $3.00 hot dog! The soda was flat too! I'm not even joking. Like come on, man, give me something. You're probably asking why I kept going back if I didn't like it the first time, and I'm here to tell you it's because I was lazy to leave campus for food. Which is why I'm reiterating that this place has the stars it has because of convenience. Next time, I bring my own food or I'll go off campus, not trying this...

The food is great but the bald chunky guy was very rude for no reason. I buy from him all the time and treat him with respect so I don’t understand why he treated me like that when I did nothing wrong to him.

All I did was ask him if he had my second peta in the bag because I only saw one and that’s when he just went off on me as if he was having a bad day and this was after I already paid with card. I get it we all have bad days but that was uncalled for. He’s lucky I paid before he had that attitude with me because I would’ve just walked away without the food.

He always has that dog face whenever I ask him for more sauce on the side as if I’m saying something wrong to him. I like the younger guy with hair, he’s very nice and pleases the customer and I never had an issue with him. I don’t recommend buying from there when the bald older...

I am writing to share my recent experience with your establishment, which, unfortunately, was disappointing. I visited Tajeen Halal Food today and ordered a gyro. While the food was acceptable, the customer service was far below expectations.

The staff member I interacted with was extremely rude and dismissive, which left me feeling disrespected as a customer. Courteous and professional service is a basic expectation, and sadly, that was not the case during my visit.

I value good food and appreciate halal establishments like yours, but poor customer service discourages repeat visits and tarnishes your reputation. I hope you will address this issue to ensure a better experience for future...
