⚠️ Overhyped, Overpriced – Only 2 Dishes Worth Trying ⚠️ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)
We visited this place to celebrate a friend’s birthday 🎂, but sadly it didn’t live up to the hype or the prices 💸.
🍹 Drinks: Tried Hoonth Rasiley, Bombay Boy, Gal & Gulab, Begum. Looked fancy but tasted very average. The HUGE ice cubes 🧊 felt like a scam – diluted the drinks + reduced the quantity. For the price, very disappointing.
🍴 Food:
Jalebi Chaat → Good presentation 👍 but taste & quantity ❌. Hardly any chickpeas, chutney stingily poured, jalebi was crispy but tasteless (more like fried noodles).
Kesar Raj Kachori → Stuffing was fine but overall average.
Nizami Lamb Chops → ⭐ STAR DISH ⭐! Perfectly cooked, masaledaar & delicious 🤤. Only issue – dip was spread on the plate for “looks” instead of in a bowl… inconvenient.
Sharabi Chicken Tikka → Juicy, spicy 🌶️ & beautifully presented. Definitely worth trying.
Paneer Laung Latta → Decent, nothing memorable.
Himachali Gucci (Mushrooms) → ❌ HUGE disappointment, esp. at $30. Only the gravy was okay.
Breads → Sesame Naan was interesting, but Lamb Keema Kulcha was tiny, dry & underwhelming. Only the spicy raita saved it.
👨🍳 Service & Experience: Staff were polite & professional 🙂 but not very informative about the dishes. The BIGGEST disappointment – despite booking for a birthday celebration, NO cake was provided 🎂❌ (even though it was mentioned during reservation). We honestly left in sorrow 😞.
📌 Overall: Apart from the Lamb Chops & Chicken Tikka, most dishes & drinks were overpriced, average, & stingy in portions. With such a limited menu, expectations were HIGH – but reality was LOW.
👉 Management seriously needs to deliver VALUE for the high prices and stop cutting corners.⚠️ Overhyped, Overpriced – Only 2 Dishes Worth Trying ⚠️ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)

Read moreInitially very excited to try this new restaurant, but the service began to go downhill before I even stepped into the restaurant. Was running late in traffic due to rush hour traffic and kindly gave a call to let them know we were going to be late. The lady in the phone passive aggressively told us that she can move the appointment to 15min later but we would have to leave by 8. I shrugged this off and still remained optimistic. Shortly before we were arriving we received a call again, and I kindly told the lady that we are parking as we speak.
When we arrived, we were swiftly seated, but at a 5 person table for a group of 3. While one person couldn’t show up, I was caught off guard by the waitress and what seemed to be the manager’s subtle judgements for being seated at a table of 5 (even though there are other open tables that could accommodate us). It really showed how there was a lack of communication among the staff and that required us to explain that one person couldn’t make it and have to answer why we were seated at a table of 5. Still I remained optimistic that the service would be better, but after 15 or so minutes nobody had stopped by to take our order.
Finally our order was taken, but when all of our dishes came, one was missing. I kindly asked our waitress and she quickly responded “it takes time to cook” (I just wanted to make sure that the dish wasn’t forgotten about). Mid way through our first course, the waiter accidentally brought another guest’s food to our table and we told him that it wasn’t ours, to which he replied “are you sure?” Realizing his mistake he left without saying another word.
Then while finishing our main courses, the another staff member, again looks like the manager, took our plate while we were still eating. It was really rude and I had to quickly tell him we were eating still. Still no apologies for anything or even a simple “sorry”.
Not to mention, the entire time we were obviously being stared at and pressured to eat quickly.
Overall, would not recommend and definitely will NOT be going back. Out of all the competitors and other popular Indian restaurants we’ve eaten at (BaarBaar, DilliDilli, GupShup, Sharab aur kebab), this has got to be the least enjoyable...
Read moreWe arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated. Initially, we ordered drinks and four appetizers. Surprisingly, the appetizers were served before the cocktails, which was unusual.
Appetizers: Gupchup: The ragda was not hot enough and could have been served warmer. Bangla Kodi: Lived up to the hype and was the tastiest dish of the night. Kasundi Shrimp: Average, nothing exceptional. Sharabi Chicken: Quite good and enjoyable.
Main Course:
We experienced a long wait before we could place our entree order. We ordered: Nadru Yakni: Just okay, leaning towards the sweeter side. Poussin Musallam: Served as a whole baby chicken with very little gravy. The dish was okay overall but felt too dry.
Desserts:
The delay for desserts was equally long. We had planned to order the Kala Jamun Tart for a birthday celebration but were told it was out of stock because of limited availability (only 10 per day). This was highly disappointing, especially as other tables were served the same dessert after us. When we questioned this, the reasoning given was that those guests had ordered in advance. However, we were never informed about the limited quantity when placing earlier orders, which felt unfair.
Additionally, we were not allowed to order a second dessert from the menu and were instead handed the bill, which felt dismissive.
Overall Experience:
The service left a lot to be desired: • Delays: Long wait times for placing orders for both entrees and desserts. • Communication: The staff should inform guests in advance about limited-quantity items to avoid disappointment. • Inconvenience: The lack of flexibility in ordering desserts and the dismissive behavior ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration.
This experience, unfortunately, fell short of expectations and left us highly dissatisfied. Improved service and communication are needed to avoid such mishaps...
