The Bar in Gowanus — Restaurant in New York

Fabulous vibe in here, cute string lights and some fun music. The bartender Vug is personable but his shirt is unbuttoned a little too much. A neighborhood woman came in and attempted to button it up further. It was like vaudeville, the highlight of my week. my old fashioned was amazing, the cocktail menu is genuinely inventive and their liquor selection is wide ranging. Prices are fair and the bathrooms were spotless. Apparently they do live music and comedy?! looking forward to...

Love this place. It’s like cheers 2.0. The bartender vug is cute and kind and so funny and always brightens my day (and night). Seriously, this guy needs his own show. The vibe is very welcoming and they have a record player and piano and often do live music and karaoke. At the bar, I always feel at home and i never feel alone and finally feel like i’m part of a community. They say loneliness is an epidemic, well not at the bar. Also love the cheap old fashions they do...

It's the bar. The bar of all bars. I'm not here because I want a vibe or a click, I'm here because I wanted a bar, and this place was called The Bar. I walked in not sure what to expect, I left knowing you get what you ordered. Stop in, have a beer, sip on a cocktail, and enjoy a good time....
