I used to visit this place regularly. I would come on a bi-weekly and sometimes even weekly fashion. A few weeks ago, I came to this place with some friends for Cinco de mayo. The wait time for getting a drink was ridiculously long. It appears that the place was understaffed.
My bill was $35 and with tip, it amounted to about $45. The next day I noticed that the bar had charged me the original amount, and there was also another transaction for $65 dollars. I immediately called the place, explained my situation but they said I had to talk to the manager. They told me the manager wasn’t in for the day and I should try calling the following Tuesday. I continued to call every day that week without successfully getting a hold of the manager. Finally, on the Friday after, I had to personally go to speak to him. I explained the situation and how they had charged me incorrectly. He tried to accuse me of charging for the second amount and not remembering and that there is no way it was their mistake. I told him I was a regular and I just had a few drinks and left. He continued to try to cover himself by telling me there’s no way they could have charged me for a different amount. I explained to him that there were 2 people with the same last name that night, and it is possible that they mixed the names and charged me for their bill. He told me that his accountant was not in until the following Thursday. He said that because I am a regular, he would try to reverse the charge but he would let me know. I never got a call from them, nor did I get my money back. I am very disappointed with this place and I will never be going back. A lot of people from my office typically visit this place, and I will make sure they lose our business. They will mess up, charge you more than you owe and then blame you for it. The manager was rude and unprofessional. I recommend that if you visit this place during a busy night, bring cash. Obviously the bartenders are overworked and they don’t know who they’re charging...
Read moreI booked here as the other reviews were so good but unfortunately our experience was awful … the only good service we got was from the man who greeted us at the bottom of the stairs. I told staff we booked a table and just got confused looks and passed to another staff member who kind of grunted and so we just found our own table and sat down. We sat for about 10 minutes and had no one give us menus, or ask if we needed drinks. My husband eventually went up yo the bar staff to get menus. 15 minutes later I’m still waiting for someone to come to our table to at least take a drink order. Again my husband flagged someone down and took our order. Luckily our food and drinks came out quickly but no one came to check we were happy with our food or needed a drink top up (which I did) we sat for about 35 mins and, again had to flag someone down to order a drink and the guy looked really unimpressed, walked away and sent another staff member to take the drink order it was really strange. Although the food & drinks were not bad we just wanted to get out of there so awkwardly stood at the till to pay and finally got served. I’m not from a country that tips but after being in USA for 3.5 weeks I had gotten used to it and had usually had good service where I’d been out to eat. That service was the worst I’d had on my whole trip so I was only going to tip 10% maybe if that. I tapped my card and usually it asks what tip but it didn’t so I just wrote $5 on the receipt - my husband said as we were leaving “you know they automatically added 20% tip?!” I was absolutely shocked and disgusted. That hasn’t happened my entire trip, it’s always optional to what % you want to pay otherwise what’s the point? I would never have paid 20% as the service was the worst I’d had in a long time. So angry I spent $100 on 3 small appetisers and 2 cocktails from a pub. Will...
Read moreIf you're looking for a cozy, welcoming spot with great food and a lively atmosphere, The Irish American Pub is a must-visit! This classic Irish pub has all the charm you'd expect, with friendly staff, a warm ambiance, and delicious comfort food. The moment you step inside, you’re transported into a laid-back, pub-style setting with wood-paneled walls, Guinness on tap, and a menu that’s perfect for any craving.
We started with the potato skins, which were crispy on the outside and stuffed with cheesy, savory goodness on the inside. For the main course, I had the classic fish and chips, and it was fantastic—the fish was light and crispy, the batter was perfectly golden, and the chips were seasoned just right. My friend opted for the corned beef sandwich, which was piled high with tender corned beef and served with a side of tangy mustard and crispy fries.
The drink selection is impressive, especially if you're a fan of Irish whiskey or stouts. I had a pint of Guinness, and it was perfectly poured and refreshing. The staff is attentive, and the vibe is just the right amount of lively without feeling overcrowded or rushed.
The Irish American Pub is perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a quick stop after work. With great food, drinks, and an authentic pub atmosphere, it’s hard to go wrong here. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their hearty dishes and...
