I visited Harlem today, my home neighborhood, and was looking for a cozy spot to grab some tea and get a bit of work done. I found a place called TitleT through Google and decided to stop by. Unfortunately, as soon as I walked in, I felt unwelcome. It was disappointing — especially in a historically Black community like Harlem — to be met with cold energy and no greeting from the woman at the register, who was white. Instead of a welcome, I was met with uncomfortable stares that made me feel completely out of place in my own community. I ended up leaving without ordering anything because the vibe was just that uncomfortable. It’s disheartening to see places come into our neighborhoods through gentrification and then act as if we don’t belong. I can’t speak for everyone’s experience, but I personally would not recommend this place. The lack of hospitality and the energy I felt was enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

Great spot! Had the pork dumplings and a green tea passion fruit bubble tea. Pork dumplings were absolutely delicious. The bubble tea was good, not my favorite ive had but it was good. Very friendly staff!

My last time going to this location was a couple of months ago so service may have changed, but my last visit made me stop going again.

It was near closing time on a Friday night. The server made the oolong tea latte obviously with very little to no milk in it. I immediate let her know of my drink situation. She turns to me and said there is milk in the drink. I've been to Tidal Tea and ordered the same drink many times. Frequently visit other bubble tea shops all over the city. I know what a tea latte looks like. I even make home milk teas and boil my own sugar syrup. I know how they are made too. Clearly there was something wrong with the drink. She goes back to remake the oolong tea latte and asks if the drink is what I'm used to getting. It was still not, but I didn't want to create any trouble because it was not worth it.

On top of not making the drink correctly, the worker was chatting with the customer/friend the whole time I was waiting for my order. I can understand having a friend over at this type of work place, but to stop everything you're doing and just have a casual conversation while customers are waiting for their order? This is unheard of. She was there just talking for over 5 minutes not doing anything else. I didn't interrupt them because I was shocked. I wanted to see how long this would go. And then she made the order wrong, twice.

This had to be poor staff...

Ordered 3 times in the span of one month on TooGoodToGo. It was supposed to be a surprise bag of boba, but unfortunately, the 3 times I ordered. I’ve only received the same two bobas. The bobas are premade with ice, so by the time you get them they’re already watered down. Apparently, the manager tells the staff to give out only those two flavors. I’m assuming they give out those specific bobas because they don’t sell too well. It’s unfortunate because I really enjoy the boba/atmosphere of tidal tea. Please have more variety for your customers on TooGoodToGo so we keep coming...
