Tiptara : Thai Food — Restaurant in New York

when we first entered the store, there was a weird smell. it kinda had a weird stink to it. but we gave it a benefit of a doubt and just went with it. but we should went with out guts instead.

food came, which tasted not too shabby.

but while we were eating my partner saw a roach. one of the staff (in glasses) was literally by the roach but she didn't crush it or whatsoever. then the roach flew and it was gone.

that's what we thought.

the next thing you know, THE ROACH FLEW on my partner's chest / neck!!! we flicked it off and i SCREAMED. the roach was crawling next on the floor next to our table. we immediately stood up.

and how did the staff handled this? both of them (1 in glasses & 1 red haired) said it disappeared into the hole(?) and then went straight to the kitchen.

the next thing you know, both me and my partner is down with a stomach bug since our visit.

the roach is HUGE and it FLIES. to future patrons, and people who orders deliveries, yall better be wary of this place. you dont know what could contaminate...

Came in looking for a good noodle soup to go with the rainy/cloudy weather and this place delivered for sure! It had a nice, quaint, and calming atmosphere that paired nicely with my delicious noodle soup!

I got the noodle soup lunch special which comes with an appetizer (ordered the edamame). The noodle soup was absolutely delicious! It was both salty and sweet but also very light. The meat that came with the soup was also very tender 10/10! My favorite part of the noodle soup was actually the cilantro 🌿

When I got the noodle soup, the waitress also brought out a rack with multiple spices so if you’re worried about ordering something spicy- do not fear! I think they make the basic food (no to little spice) and then give you the choice of putting your own spice! So if you like being in control of the spice level of your own food, this is a great, safe place.

Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some place cozy that sells...

Great experience ! Place might not look too spacious but is cozy and very welcoming , super clean and neat . Food - absolutely amazing , we had for lunch Thai dumplings, pad se-ew , pineapple fried rice with shrimp, basil fried rice with tofu and massaman curry with chicken … perfection !!!! Thai ice tea and coffee right on point . Service - humble and beyond friendly . You are really being looked after with a lot of care and attention.
