Absolutely blown away by how good this place is.
Initially, I was trying to get a table at the famous Phở Hoài but was turned away, as they were at capacity (seems like it’s back to normal over here there is good but also annoying lol).
But I had my heart set on Vietnamese food and remembered seeing this place! While Phở Hoài was so full they had essentially closed 2 full hours early, this place was basically empty!
No shade to the other place, as it’s been my go-to for years but perhaps due to the fact that the chef here wasn’t overrun and tired the food was OUTSTANDING and the staff was attentive and very friendly. The prices were comparable and the ambiance was honestly much nicer and more upscale.
What started as a letdown ended up being a blessing in disguise! Definitely coming back here soon to see if the rest of the menu is as good as the pork chop over rice and fried, sweet...
Read moreI've been going to this place since the pandemic and I was SO happy to find delicious authentic pho is Brooklyn.
I've been going regularly since 2020 and the service and food was always excellent until recently.
As of late, the staff has changed and it's like the staff had no. restaurant experience. They are very nice, but the service isn't great. They never check back, they are distracted, the food and drinks are placed anywhere on the table as opposed to making sure food goes to the right person or even clearing off dishes of finished food.
Also, they are definitely cutting corners to save costs, which I get, but it's obvious. The siracha is watered down and isn't even spicy. The. dipping sauces for rolls also very watered down. And when you try to communicate that to staff they gaslight you.
Used to love this place, but I think I'll start looking for a...
Read moreIt’s been a long time since I last visit them due to distance. Came here for a quick bite for 2. Ordered their #1 beef noodle soup and a grilled beef entree. I have to say, Dang! That’s the biggest combination beef noodle soup I ever had for $12.95!!!! The broth was a bit on the salty side but over all, it’s good, the beef quality was good.
The grilled beef was tender and a very nice amount, if they would have more charred flavor and a bit more seasoning, I’ve give 5 stars for overall experience for food vs. price. Haven’t had a dine out experience for a long period of time where we do not feel ripped off and should’ve just stay home to cooked.
And this spot’s atmosphere is def a winner compare to other two pho spots on Ave U.
Would def...
