Anyone who reads my reviews knows I am completely unbiased, I like to be thorough in my review as much as possible with that being said, let’s go on to the review. I had such A sad experience here. First off the server that we had was so dull, he maybe said a total of 20 words to us throughout the whole dine in experience. The food had little to no flavor besides the Lamb shish kebab that was spot on, but the ribeye steak was so plain I had To leave half the steak on the table. mashed potatoes was definitely frozen bought mashed potatoes. It was still cold and they had melted cheese on top of it. The french fries were good. The caramel Frappuccino was good. The strawberry banana milkshake was made with syrup. You could tell that was Nesquick strawberry syrup. Onto the service, For some reason, maybe the server was having a bad day but my God this guy acted like he did not care at all. I had also requested water from him and he said OK, About 10 minutes go by and I still did not get my water so I ask another server if they can get me water another 10 minutes goes by and I still did not get water. Finally they return with the Poland spring bottle That look like it was just taken out the fridge and I’m sure they probably bought it at the corn store. The place was not even that packed today and it’s Father’s Day so I would think today of all days they would be on their A-game and unfortunately they struck out, I don’t think I’ll ever be revisiting this place or giving it a second try that was just such a bad experience for a Father’s Day meal that I should’ve known better and listen to my wife and gone to opera. A complete fail on my part, major fail...
Read moreI’ve been there 2 weeks ago for the first time. One day I was passing by and saw the place and the bar. I checked its Instagram and the cocktails seemed delicious then I wanted to try and took my friends for night out. When we got there, We asked about drink recommendations- special cocktails. The waiter was confused and called someone after that. Almost like 5 mins they tried to figure out and a girl came and said she is gonna be our server do we want to drink smt. We asked again the drinks and she said the bar was not opened yet. It was really disappointing for us because we went there to try especially drinks. Then we wanted to leave but she said they have a special chef from Turkey and can offer some special kebabs. We were not really sure but then decided to try. She asked some questions like do we have any food allergies or any tolerance or what do we like as a meat (whole night she was so kind and relevant btw). we had a conversation about our preferences then she recommended some foods as Beyti Sarma (I guess, I really don’t remember, checked the menu) it was phenomenal. Seriously everybody should try. Also, my friends got Iskender and sultans delight. The sultans delight portion is not really big if you are hungry. But My friend asked for smt not heavy. So the portion was really fair enough for her. For drinks she recommended also Lemonades and desserts were fresh and tasty. Whatever she said was on point. To sum up, thank you for our waitress to save our nights and thank you Cherry for the delicious food!!! Everybody should find her and try their...
Read moreA-Cherry Restaurant is a fantastic find, conveniently located at the corner of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue U. One of its standout features is the private parking lot right next to the restaurant, which easily accommodates over 20 cars—a rare convenience in this area.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. The hostess was especially helpful and accommodating, finding a comfortable table for our party of three right away. The waitstaff were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit.
When it comes to the food, I highly recommend sticking to the authentic Turkish menu. We sampled the babaganoush, octopus salad, and fried liver—all of which were absolutely delicious. These dishes truly reflect the heart of Turkish cuisine. I made the mistake of ordering a burger—while it was fine, it simply doesn’t compare to the richness and flavor of their traditional offerings. Learn from my experience and explore the Turkish specialties!
The ambience is warm and pleasant, with the option to dine either inside or outside. It’s a well-kept, inviting space perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed evening meal.
Would I recommend A-Cherry to friends and family? Absolutely yes. Will I return? Without a doubt. This is a wonderful neighborhood spot that delivers both quality and...
