UPDATE 2023: you have to assume the women who work there have no papers so they have no other employment option. You never call or have any great interpersonal experience with them. They’re also NOT tech savvy. You’ll go on Grubhub AND Uber Eats and both menus are entirely different. They’ll also be out of an item, don’t know how to remove it from the apps, therefore you order something, don’t get it, then have to battle it out with Cstmr Srvc. Vees needs to hire new and younger people who are tech savvy. The food is a HIT AND MISS , and honestly with their attitudes it’s not worth it.
UPDATE: it’s 2021 & their attitude is still trash; but then again this speaks volumes of the owner. If the boss behaves badly with the customers; so will the employees. Monkey see monkey do……
LET ME SAY THIS: anyone who put that the customer service is GREAT, either works there or is a family member. THEY HAVE NO MANNERS , with the exception of Browning(tall light skin lady). The bish with the glasses, I almost had to fight her. Just yesterday, I called to place an order, after the 1st order, she hung up on me. You could be the pope, go in there with such manners, IT WONT BE RECIPROCATED. I've got into it with Vees fat daughter, loud & good for ntn. For that reason, I stopped going there, I just order and let some1 pick up. The food is good 90% of the time, but they have their days when it's bad. Vees don't care as long as she's making $, she'll be right there and watch her servers disrespect you &...
Read moreFood is great, like the jerk pork is truly some of the best I’ve had but the customer service is nonexistent. And judging by reviews here and on Yelp, it seems to be a consistent issue across the board. The first time I ordered, they didn’t have escovitch (even though it was around 6pm and they close at 9:30) but instead of calling me to ask if I wanted a replacement, they just took it off the order and I wasn’t made aware until after my food was delivered. They also somehow didn’t have cabbage at 6pm so they sent greens and stale plantains. When I called them to find out what happened, the lady I spoke to was very rude & dismissive, telling me that she refunded the fish, which really wasn’t the issue. It was the principle. I ordered two meals and only got one. If given the choice, I would’ve selected something else or cancelled altogether.
I just called today to make sure they have everything that’s listed on their menu and theyre somehow already completely out of Mac, plantains and cabbage. If that’s the case, update your menu! & It took me 10 tries to get through to the restaurant, yall need to do...
Read moreI always pass by this place but never walked in. I’m so disappointed with West Indian food lately that I was very skeptical to buy from anyone else, PS I grew up with cooks and bakers. I finally took a chance and decided to order something small so I won’t waste too much money incase I did not like it. I’m Trini so I ordered a chicken roti besides the roti skin not being super soft and it was more like flat bread however the flavor or the curry chicken was on point. I don’t like spicy food (yes I know) so it’s was just right for me. The next day I sent my daughter to get me another just to see if the flavor is consistent. Instead of the chicken they accidentally gave my daughter a goat and y’all I haven’t eaten curry goat in years over 15 but I gave it a try and omggg it was soft and flavorful, the roti skin still the same but the flavor is so good I can over look it. Thank you Vee’s for finally giving me real west Indian flavor. Their price is reasonable compare to others in the area that over price their food. I also can’t wait to try their chicken foot soup...
