ViVi Bubble Tea — Restaurant in New York

I miss how it used to be where we get to sit down and hang out at the shop but now the space is filled with boxes and equipment. I guess they don't care for presentation as much anymore. Especially since no music plays and it feels kind of awkward standing around as they make drinks(no chairs). I also hardly go to this one as I used to, when I do, I mostly order the food because some of their drinks almost tasted watered down, I ordered a taro this time and it tasted like nothing. The food is the only reason I go; for quick snacks but you can only get them at certain times not so late because the kitchen closes. I also want to point out a small and unimportant thing, before closing time you can see them out of uniform already, a little unprofessional but also slightly refreshing to see that they are so...

Pretty standard bubble tea. There’s a good variety, more than coco tea a few blocks away and more than quickly’s down the block. I like the popcorn chicken here and there’s also other snacks. I didn’t like their Taiwanese sausage. I appreciate that they have a large store front and there are seats. I’m pretty simple, I always get the same things but my husband will try different things. He really likes their Thai ice tea. I like their early gray latte and their Oreo slush from time to time. Sometimes the boba isn’t ready when they open or they run out early in the night or it’s not ready yet. Sometimes the kitchen isn’t ready to serve snacks. Sometimes the staff can be snappy.(I get it, we’re all human). The one star off is for the fact that they’re a boba place but won’t have boba or run out...

Probably my top bubble tea place in nyc, why 4 stars and not 5 you may ask? Well this place has something called Sakura bubbles. It’s this pink really yummy boba that I’m in love with. I got to try it maybe once or twice...that’s about it. They are ALWAYS SOLD OUT OF THOSE BUBBLES BY 7pm. Which is when I visit since that’s my work schedule in the area. All there teas are on point and they have a whole variety of teas and infusions I have never ever seen before at any other tea shop. Although I never got there basic milk boba tea and always choose to try random concoctions they have on the menu, I must say I have never been disappointed by there teas.
