Found this gem during a business trip to NYC, and wow - what a perfect spot to unwind after a day of meetings! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by this wonderfully balanced atmosphere: warm lighting, comfortable seating arrangements, and an impressive setup with sports on TV that doesn't overwhelm conversation. The space is thoughtfully laid out with plenty of options - whether you want to perch at the bar, settle into a cozy corner, or gather around the back tables.

The Service Rachel absolutely made our night! Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience from great to exceptional. As someone who travels frequently for conferences, it's refreshing to find staff who can read the room so well - knowing exactly when to check in and when to let conversations flow.

Food & Drinks The wings deserve their own paragraph - they're not just bar food, they're properly executed bar food. The drink selection is impressive, and each cocktail was crafted with precision (something my analytical mind particularly appreciated). The price point hits that sweet spot where you feel like you're getting more than what you paid for.

Atmosphere The available board games and cards add such a wonderful touch, making it perfect for breaking the ice with colleagues or meeting locals. The music sets just the right tone - present enough to create atmosphere but not so loud that you can't have a proper conversation about your latest research or project. First let me say- the vibes, the drinks, the food, the music and the service is always amazing! I always get the Grandpa's Lemonade!! We also got the quesadillas and appetizer platter (I believe that's what it's called) This place is also really diverse which I love. And someone is always throwing a celebration. They have a cool spot in the back with LED lights too! Plus the drinks are strong and affordable!

Secondly, I just want to tell you a crazy story that happened and another reason I will always see these place as one of my top fav bars in NYC.

I had an incident where someone took my jacket from the bar which included all of my belongings (wallet, keys, headphones). Immediately my server did all she could to help us look for it and took my info. From there, the owner reached out to me and went through the video footage to help me figure out what happened. I honestly was not expecting him to to go as far as he did to help me. Luckily, the person did bring in my items a couple of days later and they called me immediately. They made the process smooth and seemed as happy as I did.

You can tell they have a lot of regulars because they were confident that someone would bring it back and they did! I will make it a mission to patronize this place and tell everyone about it.

Like I mentioned the way they handled this situation is only the second reason.

From the moment we walked into Whiskey Tavern, we knew we were in for a great night. Alan greeted us, asked for our names, and made a point to refer to us by name throughout our entire stay. SUCH a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcomed. His attentiveness was next level; every time our drinks got low, he was right there offering a refill, and if we didn’t have a drink in hand, he made sure we had water. He was an absolute angel from start to finish. We come from San Diego, where the service is very lax, and he is truthfully the best bartender we have ever had.

Christine was also a fantastic part of our experience, adding to the incredible atmosphere with her energy and hospitality. Let’s talk about the music; DJ Color in the Lines set the perfect vibe, playing the best tunes all night long. We ended up staying for hours, having the absolute best time.

Whiskey Tavern is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Amazing service, great people, and an unbeatable vibe, 10/10 experience! We wish we lived here :(
