The food here is beyond terrible and actually caused a hospitalization. By terrible I mean literally boxed American macaroni in thin, flavorless boullion broth, dishes barely sprinkled with paltry, piss-poor, rotten ingredients including suspicious smelling seafood that gave me a horrific, dangerous case of food poisoning that night (I didn’t eat or drink anything else that evening)!!! I’d both sue and rate this place -100 stars if I could.

Also, having lived in HK for a short while and enjoyed the fantastic, opulent cuisine there, it is beyond disreputable, misleading, an insult to Asian food, and a racial and cultural heresy to label this faux-Chinese food “Hong Kong” or “Cantonese.” The only possible way you can even think this is Cantonese is if you’ve never actually eaten Chinese food. Even street food or Panda Express is better than this, for that matter, and wouldn’t hospitalize their patrons for gastroenteritis with ingredients that should be thrown away. Also, their card machine “doesn’t work” and the only ATM in the block charges a $8.75 fee for withdrawals. I am not exaggerating. Go try it if you dare. Top that with supremely snobbish, rude service inappropriate to their nasty fare.

Don’t be fooled by the price point! It is in no way cheaper than other actually decent places in the area. The portion sizes were reprehensibly stingy; the plates were barely tapas-sized and we ended up ordering more dishes to merely feel satiated. We could have eaten at a luxury restaurant for the same final price. They don’t even refill the tea and may have actually charged for it. What Chinese restaurant doesn’t refill tea??!?? In reality, this is actually also an ethnic failure - refilling water/tea is a part of Chinese food culture, even to a humorous excess.

I don’t care about the money. I am deeply infuriated that a place like this can exist to establish and affirm every negative racist stereotype of Asians and Asian food.

Please do yourself a favor and go eat somewhere else. Seriously, I am not joking or saying this for any personal benefit, and I have zero ties to the restaurant industry (note the dubious false 5-star reviews below). The food and management here is so bad that even Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t be able to fix it. This place deserves to...

My wife and I went to HK Wonton Garden the other day. It was full so we were seated at a table for 2. After a few minutes, 2 guys on a table for 4 got up and left. We moved over to that table since we usually order a lot of food and that wouldn't fit on that small table. The owner came over and said we couldn't sit at the table for 4 since we only had 2 people. He also threatened that if 4 people came in, that he would move us back to the table for 4!! I pointed out that there were several other parties of 2 that were seated at tables for 4.

Then their waiters just kept walking by out tables 3-4 times without taking our order. I think they were waiting for us to get fed up and just leave. We would have left but we were in a rush to go to our doctor's appointment. We finally got our order in and got our food. We ate it rapidly (less than 20 min).

We got the bill and were surprised that there were 4 items listed since we only ordered 3 entrees. We asked what that last item was - they hemmed-and-hawed and finally told us that it was included tip! Included tip for 2 people and in a place that was just a hole-in-the-wall?! We were in a rush so we just paid and left. We will never go back!!! We would usually have argued but we would have been late for our doctor's appt. Unbelievable! Guess they were afraid they would be short-changed on the tip since they treated us like dirt.

But having looked at a few reviews, I see that they pull this "tip" scam on other folks as well. Only reason we came here was that our old stand-by for wonton noodle soup, Wing Wong, closed a year or 2 ago. My wife remembered that she came to this restaurant with her mom 20-30 years ago so we decided to give it a try. Never again! We should have gone to Big Wong - the sister restaurant of Wing Wong but it...

Worst experience ever!! Be careful they charge extra, add tipping on check and ROACHES, First no one greeted us, I should of left there but I didn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️ I asked the skinny guys some questions about the food and he treated me like just eat pay and go I don’t want to serve you, I should left then but I was so overwhelmed by the town I was hungry and wanted to eat now. So I ordered, after I need I saw roaches 🪳on the wall omg I said ok it’s not on my food so it’s ok. Order the kumpao chicken and was very salty. Ordered also sweet and sour which was good but something weird like baba 🤤 it was weird. Ordered water and sunkist soda. When I got the bill which I didn’t understand they purposely write badly, they charged me $4 for each drink and it was listed $1.50 and $2 for soda, they also charge extra $4 for taxes which I asked what was that extra $4, I think he was adding the tip and not taxes so be aware 👁️ I told him why is he charging $4 for water and $4 for the soda? They pretend not to understand. I felt rushed by that stupid lady she is aware of how much tipping you are leaving. She stood there watching my wallet😂 I waited the. I pay and left $1 tip because I know they were charging about $4.50-8 more. She rapidly saw I only left a dollar and she said no no what about the tip? I was like you are charging me more for drinks, she kinda pushed me to the side so the other skinny guys can talk to me, he said you need to leave 7.35 tip. I asked him about the extra charging and he is stupid they don’t hear or care what you say. He said come on give me 4 or 3 give me money!! I was like no, tipping is optional depending on the service, I left but I felt threatened by the lady and him, Jesus this people are obsessed with money, they should treat people better and clean their place, full of roaches. Next day I got stomach sick...
