Whiskey Town — Restaurant in New York

Met up with a few friends at about 8pm on a Thursday. Went up to the bar and met the bartender, AC, and had a shot of house whiskey and a pickle back, which went down better than I expected. Sat down at a booth and had some more drinks. They only serve beer in a can, but they do put the can in a nice little beer coozy. So we had our beers and a shot or two here and there. To our surprise, AC brought us some fresh popcorn. Awesome, right? What's even more awesome is that he kept refilling our popcorn as soon as we ran out. You heard me... FREE POPCORN! Anyway, the place was totally relaxed and perfect for catching up with friends. End of the night and the tab was significantly lower than expected for a NYC bar. Huge bonus!! You don't go to Whisky Town for the selection of pretty much anything. The beer is bottom barrel choice and the whisky/bourbon selection is mid level for the area. With that said, the atmosphere is laid back and easy going which is nice when you are just looking to hang out and chat with some friends. Best to get there on the earlier end though if you want to be able to actually talk to people around you.Bartenders are friendly and attentive which earns this place...

A really fun dive bar in NYC. They have beer cans, you can buy a cooler to share with your friends. The pickle backs are always fun with a large group. It is a really affordable night out.
