We did take out from here and had such a great experience. It’s a local stop that’s been open for less than a year and I highly recommend you check it out if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food. Also, they have good veggie options which can be hard to find for Vietnamese food in NYC.

Note: when we went to pick up the other, we saw that the dine in seating was really nice and the restaurant has a casual but comfortable vibe

Food: the veggie banh mi was pretty good. Felt close to California Little Vietnam food. It was perfectly spiced based on our preferences and the tofu was nicely marinated. The bread was crispy and hard as it should be as in a banh mi sandwich. I also really enjoyed the veggie crispy rolls. It came with the fresh lettuce that you’re supposed to wrap around them when eating authentic Vietnamese food. And sauce it came with was just a soy sauce. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and seasoned.

Price: food was very reasonably priced. We got 2 veggie banh mi sandwiches and 1 veggie crispy spring roll and our total was less than $40.

I think the food was good, but not great, and certainly not reflective of the current 4.9 stars. I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. I ordered the beef pho, with an add on of beef ribs. The beef ribs while tender, was not flavourful. It was served on a big bone, which made it rather tricky to eat. The broth was alright. The best is the service. They were kind to top up my water, esp so when they noticed i was taking my medications. However, i will note that 3 servers stood around, and despite seeing my bowls pushed away as i was done with my meal, nobody had thw initiative to clear. Another star taken off because the news was played on the telly and considering its a restaurant, it did not make a happy atmosphere to dine in. Another channel would have been better. Bathroom cleanliness could be better. The door knob is finicky and very hard so good luck with turning the knob after you’ve washed ur hands at the sink and now will be forced to manhandle the strong...

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! My sister, brother, mom, and I came here for dinner and were blown away. It’s a small, cozy spot with a welcoming ambiance, and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive or caring. We started with the garlic string beans and chicken wings both were finger licking good. In fact, my sister and I loved the string beans so much we ordered extra to take home! For our main course, we all had the wonder pho, and wow… as someone who considers themselves a pho addict, I can honestly say this was one of the best pho broths I’ve ever had. My mom, who had pho for the very first time, was just as impressed. As a Dominican woman, flavor means everything to her when it comes to food, and she gave it a 10/10. That says it all! Thank you to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience. Not only did the food exceed every expectation, but seeing my mom so happy and satisfied made the evening unforgettable. We’ll...

We OFTEN visit Wonder Pho (formerly Pho Shop) and are always happy with the new transformation. While the place still has that familiar, cozy atmosphere, it’s been given a fresh coat of paint and several touch-ups, looking cleaner and more inviting than ever! The pho? Still filling and just as good, if not better, than before. The new owners have clearly stepped up their game. Their Pho King is always delicious with a rich broth and all its goodies, just how pho should be. I mean the beef, tripe, and tendon! I don't appreciate those places that "westernize" things and don't have tripe or tendon. The service is even better than before, very attentive, and welcoming. They also have several specials and give a cash discount. If you're in the area and craving some great pho, I highly recommend Wonder Pho. The combination of fantastic food and great service makes it a place you’ll want to return to often.

Given the reviews, I was excited to visit WonderPho, expecting some wonder . Unfortunately, my experience was far from it. The biggest disappointment? The fried spring rolls. The first hint of letdown came with the lack of lettuce and Thai basil, which usually complement freshly made, light, and crispy rolls alongside a Vietnamese dipping sauce. I asked for these herbs and received a small sample with just a few leaves. As for the spring rolls themselves—rather than being crispy and airy, they were heavy and oily. The pho was okay, but nothing memorable. The service was also ok, but equally non memorable . My ultimate test is whether I’d be eager to return, and in this case, I don’t think I would. 🤷‍♂️ Your mileage may vary.
