I really really don't like this place. The people who run it are super shady. They will over charge you by a quarter or so every order. I don't frequent this shop often.. Probably less than 5x a year. The last 2x I noticed they overcharged me by about a quarter or so . Generally I let them do what they do then speak up afterwards and they will make it right by refunding me the difference. Today same thing happened. I Ordered a peperoni and a buffalo slice. The plump lady in the front over charged me by a quarter or so. I spoke up after I got the receipt and then they refunded me and then charge me the "correct amount". The problem is today the correct amount was $9.25, but for some reason after the credit card fees the bill is $9.58. She never mentioned how much was the credit card fees in person. I see in the reviews here that it's 3%. If it is indeed 3% then it should be $9.53 at most. The plump lady is still overcharging me. It's crazy. I posted an image of the charges. The plump lady made a mistake so there are several transactions but the final one was $9.58. Obviously the difference is such a minor amount that most people will not notice or even really care. They will definitely not spend the time to write about it. I just despise this practice so much. This is not a one-off instance. This is common practice. I writing it for the people who do care. Force this business to be honest.

On my quest to find the best regular slice on the UES. Got a regular slice and a slice with chicken and broccoli, both of which were the size of my head! The regular slice is an 8.2/10, and the chicken one is an 8.1/10. The crust on the regular slice was thin, but wasn’t crispy a normal New York standard. The sauce:cheese ratio was great, but the sauce itself wasn’t bursting with flavor. The chicken and broccoli slice was good, but something about it was a tiny bit off. The broccoli almost had a fishy taste to it? But the chicken was crispy and they didn’t skimp out on toppings. I will be continuing my quest for the best regular slice on the Upper East Side. Roma Pizza was a fair contender, but I won’t be dreaming about it tonight.

First of all, when paying for a large pie tonight at 6PM on Jan 10th, a short Latina woman snatched the money from my hand in a wild, aggressive sweeping motion. The first time I went over a month ago, the Latino employees were talking in Spanish and laughing hysterically the entire time I waited for my slices. The employees hostility and attitude and unprofessionalism aside...

The pizza actually tastes good. The problems are the dough was under-cooked (the crust was doughy and clearly under-baked) There wasn't enough sauce and too much cheese and too much crust. I am guessing this is a way to save money, just throw on tons of cheap cheese and dough but avoid using enough tomato sauce.

I would just suggest they bake the pizza longer in the oven as it was clearly under-baked, use more sauce and use less bread (so much crust the pizza tastes more like a garlic knot than a slice) And you don't need that much cheese either. These are all simple corrections but I doubt anything will change. The prices are also astronomical for the value you are getting.

Let's be real. I wasn't born yesterday...The latino staff is most likely too busy laughing at or cracking jokes at the expense of "wealthy caucasian residents" who they most likely resent, or being aggressively hostile towards them to care if they get business. I will watch my weight and health and avoid pizza altogether, so no worries. Mimi's Pizza is also average pizza, and i tried another 3 or 4 pizzerias in the area... the Upper East Side in 2025 has no clue how to make good...

Mediocre pizza at best, the rest of the non Pizza menu is lousy, and there's a lot of route of noxious behavior from employees and even drunken customers looking for trouble. I went here a number ofl times, on and off over a number of years and practically each time (especially at night) it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a pizzeria. The pizza is not great, and is oftentimes old, dried, shriveled or "cheap" in quality.... especially some of the specialty slices. The rest of the food on the menu is actually much worse than the pizza. The owner has some of he rudest, nastiest, angriest employees behind the counter... Especially when he's not there or busy in the back. I guess the owner can't be there from opening tine to closing time when you close after midnight. One time owner would tell you can have or do something a certain way then the employee would start shouting and screaming at you in Spanish... Including making threat, because he figured I couldn't understand Spanish. Many of the customers are late-night drunks, not just young ones... even old ones who are belligerent and cause trouble and ruin your meal. Management and the good employees have no control over what's going on in there... I've had horrible experiences at 11:00 a.m. and at 1:00 a.m.too. like someone else said, you would never choose to go here...
