Literally drove around the block three times to find this spot. 🤦🏽♀️Third times a charm though! It's right next to a church and it looks like it's in a basement. Thankfully, I read the reviews because I was starting to think Zoralie's didn't exist.😅
I ordered the Mangu con Tres Golpes - mashed plantain, pickled onions, a fried egg, slice of fried cheese, and 2 slices of salami. The portion size, though not what I'm used to, was perfect for one person. Probably one of the best orders of Mangu I've had in my life - besides my grandmother's of course. The Mangu (mashed plantains) was a smooth consistency and the egg was fried to perfection... you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a spot that knows how to perfectly fry an egg. I also ordered a coffee, which was spot on. 😍 I will definitely be back to try their lunch menu. So glad I found Zoralie's! Thank you for the perfect start...
Read moreToday this place broke my heart 💔 I’m a proud Dominican single mom woman ,living in Hell’s Kitchen for about almost 11 yrs raised my kids here and this place was the only place I felt like home . Even tho they have change management we still came here and support , the food was even better !! Plus that lemonade juice … however today my meal was over by 2 dollars something unusual of me because I Good tipper . So I suggest if I can owe it to them because I felt Comfortable with the staff , but some guy ( I guess the owner’s son ) not sure , said NO to me .. that honestly broke my heart ., is a Dominican spot in Hell’s Kitchen that I recommend all time. Clearly this guy did not know who I was… when I go there I buy lunch for my family that is way more than 2 dollars and not only that I tip real good !! FOR 2 dollars ! I’m Really sad that I will never go back to...
Read moreThe staff are very warm and friendly. It's a small place with only two tables inside and two tables outside. They are CASH ONLY! I ordered the baked chicken, arroz con dules, tostones, plaintains and morir sonando. The ONLY tasty morsel was the chicken. I am a huge arroz con dules fan and have yet to find a place calling itself authentic puerto rican or dominican restaurant that serves up good, abuelita style arroz con dules. The arroz con dules here was EXTREMELY dry and tasteless. I could tell by the sort of greyish appearance it wasnt going to be good. The tostones were very dry inside, the plaintains instead of being a little crunchy outside and sweet and soft inside, was completely dry. Very disappointed especially after reading the positive reviews, which I'm now convinced were written by people who dont know authentic puerto...
