Mulberry Street Pizza — Restaurant in Newark

Upon entering this restaurant, you're greeted right away! The staff is very patient and helpful. Our soup and slice came out in a timely manner (the sweet spot in between too long and too fast, it was just right!) I loved the cheese slice, delicious crust, perfect sauce to cheese ratio! The chicken soup is seasoned very well and the vegetables were perfect; this is a great place to grab a hot soup in the winter or if you're starting to feel under the weather. Wings are nice and juicy but also crispy, a side of broccoli to balance it all out is a delicious choice! The vodka penne came out a little dry which kind of made it the least favored item in our big order. But the manager/owner (?) was really accommodating and added more sauce to our to go order, this made it a very delicious plate to eat as leftovers later that evening. I ordered fetticini alfredo w chicken and a sausage roll . I decided to get 2 items off the menu bc i read a few bad reviews n wasnt sure if i would like my 1st option (the fetticini) & i really wanted to give this place a chance bc i work nearby and like to order for lunch w local resturants. The menu said the sausage roll is made with onions and peppers. There is absolutely no onions or peppers in this only alot of mozarella n little sausage. The fetticini was absolutely horrid and the sauce tasted like it was made with SPOILED MILK/ heavy cream. I ate maybe 3 or 4 spoonfuls of the pasta and chicken and could NOT continue, it literally made me nauseaus. I decided to eat the sausage roll and was also dissappointed. No onions, no peppers just extra mozarella and litte sausage. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Absolutely disgusting!!...(ps forgot to take a pic of pasta, it actually didnt look bad but the taste...

I'm new to the area, so I've been making a point to try various pizzerias to find "my spot" and let me tell you, Mulberry Street Pizza is the frontrunner, and for good reason. This place ticks all the boxes pizza wise as far as presentation, flavor, texture, and service. As I've said im new to the area so I haven't tried too much on the menu, but aside from traditional pies their penne alla vodka pizza was out of this world. The basic apps they do well as far as mozzarella sticks. The only thing I didn't like was the bruchetta, but that's more personal preference than anything related to the quality of the product (too many onions and I don't like cheese in bruchetta). Other than that one thing this place is as close to perfection as you can get....
