Monday October 16th after 1900 , I had yet the worst costumer service of the year by an employee of this bakery in Newark penn station. I approached the counter and asked if there’s anymore chocolate croissants left , because the usual spot they display them was empty . A short chubby female employee (5’5 or shorter) shook her head and told me if there’s anything else I would like to purchase since they were out chocolate croissants . I pointed to 2 items and kindly inquired about how much they were, since there was no prices displayed . The employees lost her composure and went on a rant by yelling the prices of everything displayed , she added that there was no dollar-item in the store, that I’m wasting her time and must quickly make my decision on if I should buy something or not (There was no line, I was the last costumer.) . I felt disrespected and explained to her that she can’t be talking to a costumer in such way, I also requested the employee name but in vain, she claimed that she was the one in charge at the moment and no other employee came forward to help the situation . At the end of this negative encounter I went home with 2 Apple turnovers feeling disrespected and disgusted by the behavior of an employee placed to be a leader by Zaro’s . Actions need to be taken by Zaro’s against such behavior from one of their shift lead or manager so it doesn’t set a bad reputation for the company , I could have record and put her 10 mns tirade online, but I rather reach directly through corporate, and wait on its judgment. Read morePolitely waited for about 20 mins for bacon egg and cheese saw at least ten other people come after me and get served before me. I didn’t want to be rude so I just waited. I finally politely mentioned to guy behind the counter that I’ve been waiting and he said idk maybe she took your order. I said you took the first half of the order and she took the second so she comes over asks what my problem is. I said politely again that I’ve been waiting a long time for one sandwich and she looked right in my eyes and said so? And I said well I’m just mentioning it in case maybe someone else picked it up or something and she rudely told me that it was really weird that I’ve been waiting so long and I’m only saying something and didn’t even want to make the sandwich and I told her I just didn’t want to be rude because there’s a lot of people coming in and out and she ease just so rude and vile and implied that I was lying about even ordering for WHEN SHE TOOK THE ORDER. However, on this occasion, 1. my order was prepared incorrectly: I had ordered a large caffe latte via their app, as I had before, but was given a small one when I came to collect my order and told, not v politely, that "they only come in one size" (not what their menu says); 2. I was charged for a large caffe latte, not the small one I was given; I also noticed that the prices listed on the app are lower than what I was charged; 3. Complaining via the website, which I've done before, or to the Better Business Bureau, yielded no results, so I've deleted their app and unsubscribed from their emails.
