Seaside Scoops — Restaurant in Newport

Seaside scoops ice cream shop is a must try when you are visiting or residing in Newport, RI . My favorite part of my visit, aside actually trying the ice cream, was watching customers walk out with some of the most elaborate ice cream treats I’ve ever seen. I was impressed with the glass mason jars choke full of multiple flavors of ice cream, abundant candy chunks, large cookies and chocolate and or various types of sauces running down the inner glass, whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, sprinkles, in jars packed high with ice cream, graham crackers, m&m cookies LOADED with M&M’s or chocolate chips sitting at the top of the jar. This is one ice cream shop that will fulfill your wildest dreams of an indulgent treat fit for any ice cream king or queen. My husband and I decided to try as many flavors as we could with no toppings in a four flavor container. The four flavors we tried were a luscious creamy delight. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the treats I saw coming out that door. Very cute shop, although it was so packed I didn’t see the inside of the shop in great detail. First time being here as I went with my daughter and dog because we had the food fight coupons. We were excited to see it was homemade ice cream and was so inviting in the store. The employee was absolutely wonderful it was very excited to see our dog who is also a strange service animal. The employee asked if I were dog would like a pop cup in which we do normally purchase one for her when we get ice cream. We were so happy to receive one and Lucy loved every bit of it. The employee was very kind and generous with our dog. We were able to sample a flavor and decided on our ice cream flavors. The ice cream was absolutely delicious. It is an adorable shop with a great outdoor atmosphere as well as above and beyond phenomenal customer service. If we go back to Newport we will definitely be back to this ice cream shop. In a town with an abundance of ice cream shops me and my wife decided to stop here off of Thames and while we were waiting to order at least two people came back in after having finished their ice cream to tell the girls working the counter to say this was the best ice cream they’ve ever had, so naturally it made us excited for ours. I ordered a scoop of milk chocolate fudge (cold brew coffee flavor was sold out would’ve loved to try) and my wife ordered a scoop of pistachio and fresh strawberry and honestly we were not disappointed. Definitely some of the best ice cream we’ve had. Will most certainly come back next time...
