Opened on 2/18 and I was there on 2/19 with a friend eating at the bar. Since this is a newly opened place the hype was high and the wait times for tables were anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours. They did not take reservations but took names on a list and texted when the table was ready. So, if you plan on going during prime hours, and you are local, have someone come there first and put their name on the list, then take your time arriving. We were told 1.5-2 hours wait time for a table for 2 when we arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. So, we decided to hang out for a few drinks at the bar and see how it goes. As expected, the bar was full with no seating and folks were having their meals at the bar. When two seats opened up, we grabbed them and decided to eat at the bar. The drink offerings here are very good. There are a sufficient number of tequilas to choose from as well as what looked like plenty of whiskeys. I really didn't dig deep into the offerings since I was going to have tequila but noticed Elijah Craig bottled on display. The wines are minimal, but they have the basics. The drafts are minimal too. When I asked why that was, the bartender explained that they were not permitted to compete with Ironhill Brewery next door, so they had to minimize their offerings. I did see a bunch of drafts on the list, so it’s not like they don't have beers here. My margarita was very nicely balanced. I had mine with Hornitos reposado, and it had the slightly heavier body I like in my tequila drinks. Bartender also adjusted the salt on the rim for me. Overall, I really enjoyed my drink here. We had the following food: - Cauliflower Wings - deep fried, very nicely spicy - would definitely order again. - Guacamole - chips were greats, guac was on the smoother side (not chunky), mixed with cheese on top - it was OK, but I have had much better. Tacos (you order by the taco with about 10 various choices) - Ahi tuna taco - Was disappointed by this one. The cut of the fish was sporadic and unpleasant to me. Perhaps it was intentional, but it did not eat well. The mixture of the other items did not blend well, and it tasted like bland raw tuna in a soft wrap. I think if they do more of a tar tar with smaller more consistent cuts, mix/integrate the ingredients together, it would be a much more successful dish. - Nashville Hot Chicken Taco - This was decent. It’s served with a larger crispy tortilla inside a soft taco. I would order it again. - Brussels Sprout Taco - This was great. The ingredients were cut into a size where they can integrate with every bit. I was very well done, and I could order just these and be very happy next time. The ambiance was great due to the mix of interior design and lively crowd. The interior is clean and modern without being overly dainty. The bar staff was great working as a team and always checking in to see if another drink was needed or asking how to food was. The usable bar itself was too small for the space in my opinion. However, when the weather gets better, they will open their outdoor space and the side of the bar facing the outdoor space so it should alleviate the lack of bar seats I felt last night. Overall, a clean, fun, and worthwhile casual space great for everyone. At this time, I would not go with a large group since it seems like it would be a hassle to get a table. Wait till things calm down. 100% will be back here

My husband and I love this place, especially on Taco Tuesday! Their tacos are fantastic, the Brazilian cheesy bread is top notch and their margarita specials are half off on Tuesdays! Even on their speciality margarita flavors like spiced apple cider in winter and watermelon jalapeños in the summer. So so good!

Previously wrote a positive review when the restaurant was new. Dined 8/29/25 and am providing an update. Please read before dining. UPDATE: I tried looking up the menu online prior to dining, but unfortunately all the links on the website didn't work. That should have been the first warning. When we arrived, the place was relatively empty on a Friday night at 6:30 which should have been our second warning. For being an empty restaurant, it took the server ages to greet us. Strike 3, but we continued with our experience. News flash, he was inattentive throughout the entirety of the meal. Ordered a dip trio. When it came out, we were especially disappointed to see they had changed the chips from having plantains and root veggie chips to just having tortilla chips. Not only that, the chips were greasy and stale. We notified our waiter that our chips were stale, and he brought a different batch, but they were still stale. Clearly the whole batch had gone bad. Also ordered a skinny margarita that sadly tasted like drinking lime concentrate. It took 20 minutes for our tacos to arrive and they were cold when it came to the table. Not warm, literally cold. We also ordered fries, but somehow they actually came out hot. Tacos: Americano taco lacked flavor (and was cold), The shrimp was better than expected, the Al Pastor was ok except for not being hot, and the chicken tinga was terrible and lacked flavor as well. Overall, terrible experience; honestly shocking how bad it was. Restaurant used to be a favorite of ours. Menu has changed drastically and they're simply not trying anymore. We won't be returning and strongly suggest that you...

I visited Bomba to meet a friend for a weekend dinner. We were sat by the hostess as soon as we came in. The restaurant was very well-staffed to accommodate a busy Saturday evening. Our server did a great job answering any questions we had. We ordered a few appetizers while we were deciding on our tacos.

Our Street Corn and Brazilian Cheesy Bread appetizers arrived first. Even though Bomba is more contemporary than authentic, the Street Corn was grilled and seasoned to perfection. It compared very similarly to what I’ve had at traditional Mexican spots. The Brazilian Cheesy Bread was delicious, but definitely more dense and cheesy compared to what’s served at Brazilian restaurants.

Our tacos were presented exceptionally when they arrived. I ordered three different tacos. I was surprised that my favorite was the Sweet Potato taco. Both the flavor and texture of the toppings completed the sweet potato perfectly. The Yard Bird taco was much more flavorful than expected. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and the toppings were fresh. The Nashville Hot Chicken taco was solid besides the chicken being a bit too oily.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Bomba Taco. Food was great, service was consistent, and ambiance was enjoyable. I definitely see myself returning if I’m in...
