This is our favorite restaurant of the Cunningham group. The downtown location has better atmosphere purely for outdoor dining if you can get a table on the upstairs deck, although they do have a covered outdoor dining area in Noblesville that we haven't tried yet. At either place, the flavor combinations are awesome and the menu options for pescatarians haven't failed us.
We never visit without ordering their Queso Empanadas ($10). You get 3 in an order, although I could probably eat a half dozen of them by myself. Friends of ours love their Corn Empanadas, but we noticed they are currently absent from the menu, seemingly replaced by Mushroom that I am curious to try.
On our most recent visit, we tried the Brussels ($11). I don't generally care for Brussels sprouts, but I actually enjoyed these with the cheese. My wife is the fan, but said she wouldn't necessarily order these again. Her favorites are at Lou Vino's.
We also tried the Canelones ($16). These were amazing. The come as a pair on a skillet, looking like the Italian dish of lasagna cylinders, but with tortillas instead. The tortillas are probably the weakest part of the dish, as the fillings are an outstanding combination of tomato sauce, spinach, artichokes, mushrooms, and Manchego. It may be our new required to order each time we visit.
My wife and I returned again and each did the lunch special. It was perfect for what we wanted. For $12, we each had a salad and 2 queso empanadas. My taco salad was a very good portion size and excellent blend of flavors. The best I have had of the few times I have ordered it, so my compliments to the kitchen. Also, my wife and I agreed that our empanadas were the tastiest and most filled we have had. Our server, Courntey, was excellent in tending to our table while also appearing to manage the bar. Still one of my favorite...
Read moreWe came on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 8. Lilly was our server and she was amazing! Very helpful with recommendations and answering questions. We had the guacamole, Street corn, cauliflower, and yuca fries as appetizers. The street corn is amazing. Probably our favorite. The cauliflower and guacamole was a close second. All three were very good. The yuca fries were a little bit of a let down, they are ok but we found them bland compared to everything else. For our main courses we had red drum fish, potatoe tart, steak taco salad, chicken torta, pork belly tacos, and chicken tinga tacos. The red drum was ok, by far the least favorite of the items we had. Had a very earthy aftertaste which I found to be unflattering. The potatoe tart was very good but the spinach and mushrooms were slightly overwhelming to us. The pork belly tacos were probably the favorite of our group. Very crunchy and the mixture of pork belly and other ingredients blended perfectly. The steak taco salad was also a favorite. The steak is very tender and had wonderful flavor.
The chicken torta was good but is basically a breaded chicken sandwich. The chicken tinga tacos were also good but lacked the flavor of the pork belly.
Overall we had a great experience and we enjoyed most of the food. I don't think I would make this a regular stop because it's just not a menu that overly impresses my tastes. However it's just a personal preference. The service was great, food was overall good, and the decor is very nice. If you haven't tried this I would recommend checking it out and deciding for yourself. Latin American cuisine is just not at the top of my list of...
Read moreSo we visited Livery located in Nobelsville to celebrate b day of our family members. Our first preference was to go to Livery located at college Ave, Indianapolis as that's my favorite dinning place in town but we didn't got the reservations done on time so choose the Nobelville location. This location has a modern vibe to it, located at a. Ery premium location and have outdoor and indoor seating options. The greeters at the front desk were very friendly and hoped us sitting outside which was perfect seating for a perfect weather day. We ordered our drinks as our server greeted us and got old faishoned and come of house margaritas and in appetizers we ordered Brussels, Chipotle wings and Ceviche. For our surprise the appetizers came first and 5 mins later got our drinks. Drinks were all up to the mark but food was a miss, our Brussels came burnt and had to return them as they were not smoked they were literally burnt, Chipotle wings were salty for my taste but Ceviche was up to the mark. For main course we ordered skirt Steak and got 3 dishes which are medium rare, rare well and well done my family who picked medium rare and rare well said there steak was more cooked than they were expecting so looks like the chef last night was cooking too much I guess. After our dinner we were not even asked for desserts so we asked for check and got out. Over all I think the college Ave location is far better and still my favorite spot...
