I pre-ordered a PS5 bundle from Gamestop in September and checked out with Quadpay. The biggest mistake of the year for me. I have been overcharged with Gamestop acknowledging that in email with a promise to fix it and yet that hasn't happened. Someone's card information got mixed up with my email and I was constantly getting emails stating that my payment declined while Quadpay was simultaneously taking payments. Then a Gamestop worker without my permission created a second order and attached my card information so now Quadpay is charging me for a "ghost" order that has no product attached to it. When I first started contacting Gamestop they said Quadpay was to blame. Quadpay says Gamestop is to blame. They have taken out more money than I should have been expected to pay. And I still don't have all the products I paid for. I get hung up on repeatedly from Gamestop customer service. And trying to contact Quadpay is ridiculously hard. I went into two stores for help and that was a waste of my time. Lauren, the store leader of HTC gamestop was a terrible help and I do not recommend her problem solving/decision making skills. She tends to overstate her power of which she has none outside her store. I have spent many many hours trying to get this resolved and not one person from Gamestop has tried to contact me to fix this situation. That folks is a bad sign for the future of this company when nobody will take responsibility for the issues they have created. I placed an order with a valid payment method and they messed up everything from there. DO NOT shop here. Go somewhere and spend your money where the company appreciates your business and does not cause you undo stress for...
Read moreWhile not the fault of this store, the game I received as "New" was opened and missing a component. The assistant manager informed me that they do not return clearance items. I inquired whether this was the case even if the item received was opened and incomplete. She was adamant and said, "Honey, I am not arguing with you. Clearance items cannot be returned."
One hour later on the phone with customer service, I was successful in returning the item because it was not as advertised. So, apparently clearance items can be returned, especially in circumstances where it is defective. The customer service representative was more helpful than the assistant manager at this store. They apologized several times for the error, while the assistant manager simply stated, "Sweetie, this didn't come from my store, so I don't know what to tell you."
Furthermore, the customer service representative stated that exceptions can be made in circumstances where the product is broken or incomplete (i.e defective). The assistant manager needs to take a few more lessons in GameStop's...
Read moreThis store had a bunch of display boxes of different Xbox controllers. My husband and I drove almost 40 minutes to get to this store, and we were only going to GameStop. We were so excited to see the box for the controllers that we needed to buy. I took the display box to the counter. The employee had a very bad attitude. He saw the box in my hand, and said "we don't have that controller". I picked another, and with attitude he says " WE DON'T HAVE ANY XBOX CONTROLLERS FOR SALE!!" I said then "why have all of the boxes still up?" He said with ATTITUDE "obviously because it's a display "! I say "then why keep the display up if you don't have any of them for sale, or AT LEAST put up a sign saying that you have no controllers for sale"!!! He totally ignored me and walked away!!!!!!! In the past, we have went to this store many times before, but we will NEVER be going back to this location!! I am not upset about them being out of controllers, but I am VERY UPSET about the employee and his attitude and the way he spoke to and treated my...
