Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in Norco

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING TO Rubio's.

This place is dirty. Especially the outside tables. I had to get my sanitizing wipes to clean the table we wanted to sit at and share some with another customer nearby. The amount of collected dirt was absolutely NOT from a few minutes,  neither hours before we got there. 😑  I took a picture of how black/dirty the wipes ended up. BTW, the picture is of the second round of cleaning I had to do.

When I brought it to the attention of the staff that brought our food,  his answer was: " Oh, I just clocked in" but didn't even consider or be bothered coming back with towels to clean it, neither apologized.

The tortillas of our tacos were not hot,  just barely warm.

I was expecting the beer I ordered to come with our food,  and when I had to go back in to ask for it, I was pointed at it with the attitude of "you're dumb, it's right there." As if I'm obligated to know how everything works, or that I had to assume to just take things from their display.

I have chosen not to go to Rubio's for years because of negative experiences in the past at other locations.

I agreed to go to this time because my son was craving fish tacos and was the closest place to eat.

Well, Rubio's has proven the saying to be completely right: "Three strikes, you're out."

I’m a long time Rubio’s fan: the tacos and salsa bar are amazing. Unfortunately, the customer service here has really gone downhill. I’ve gone in twice in about a month. Both times I arrived about an hour before closing and there were lots of customers still eating in the restaurant. However, on both occasions the staff had already started closing things up for the night. Both times more than half the tables had the chairs already stacked on them leaving limited seating options for customers and both times the salsa bar was already put away. Tonight I asked a staff member if I could have some salsa since the salsa bar was put away. The staff appeared very annoyed I was asking for this and just said she’d bring it with my food. She never asked me which salsa I wanted, and she never actually brought me any salsa. While we were eating, the staff were also breaking down and cleaning the fountain machine. It’s not very pleasant to be eating while someone is spraying cleaner next to you. I was hoping the last time was a fluke incident, but seems like this is more of...

This place has been through so many new employees and while each time they are good this past visit was new employees again new manager and they where Unfriendly and the food was horrible the tatse and presentation not to mention they left out lettuce from my bowl. Every time we have ate they where have been greeted and told than k you good bye but not one employee out of 3 did that at all !!!

UPDATE Decided to give this place a second chance and It was the worst experience ever not only is the customer service horrible horrible trying to charge me for extra salad dressing when I didn’t even get enough in the first place, and then not to mention food is being served on to go bowls what This happened to this place ?? The mango salad was full of lettuce. Basically just a lettuce bowl !! What a rip off my soup was served in a tiny bowl. What the heck is going on when you eat eat at a restaurant why are we given to go bowls??? And then, when you bring it up to the employees, it’s like they don’t care !!! Horrible customer service...
