We stopped by this location tonight so my son could get a BACON, egg and cheese BURRITO. They gave it to us and we left. We were a mile down the road and my son thought it was weird that they charged more than he usually pays. He looked at his order and they gave him a sausage, egg, and cheese quesadilla. We drove back and told the drive through and the first person was pleasant and told us they’d correct it. We got to the window and the other short haired blond girl asked to see it. We showed it to her and she left her hand out waiting for me to give it to her. I handed it over and waited for our new order. When she came to the window she didn’t offer the difference in our order. When I asked she acted surprised that I would want the difference back. But it shouldn’t be surprising especially when she took back food we had already touched and our order cost less than what we were charged.
The part that made me angry is that after I asked for the difference in money, she rolled her eyes, closed the window and spoke to her co-worker in a manner that demonstrated she thought it was ridiculous that we were even asking. I addressed her attitude with her saying I didn’t appreciate her attitude after THEY were the ones who made mistake. The she continued to argue with me about her attitude.
Honestly, they could have just given us the original order for our wasted time of having to return for the correct order. At the very least, she should have known to refund me the difference between what we ordered and what we received and done it without giving me a crappy attitude. At the very, very least she should have been apologetic but she never even apologized once.
Oh! And it gets better! We left the second time thinking my son would at least have his BACON, egg, and cheese BURRITO only to drive down the road again and realize they gave us a SAUSAGE, egg and cheese burrito.
I don’t know how hard it is to: *make a single bacon, egg, and cheese burrito *to correct THEIR mistake *know they should at least offer me a a refund for the difference in what we ordered and what we were charged *to apologize to the customer
but the staff tonight demonstrated that it must be really, really difficult.
I hope the management addresses these issues because the service tonight was subpar and a very bad look for Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We definitely...
Read moreThis is directly for management. This was Thursday night (5/25/23) at 8:10pm. I ordered a large chia banana boost and asked if they had kids cups. One female working the speaker spouts out “we only have one size.” No problem, I was going to see if you guys had two kids cups to pour the large drink into. While I was speaking, one female cuts me off in the utmost negative tone to yell “we can’t do that” while the other female talks over her in the back to yell no. Thinking they aren’t understanding what I’m saying I still say with a smile “oh are you guys just out of kids cups tonight or something?” To which they ignore me. I ask again if they’re out of kids cups with no response. With still trying to be lighthearted and respectful, I say “wait I’m confused, why aren’t you guys answering any of my questions?” To which both females continue to ignore me. With being ignored, all I could do is pull up to the window being greeted by the only taller male employee working there. He goes, “You just wanted the large drink poured into two kids cups. Yeah we can do that no problem.” This is the ONLY employee with any sort of customer service skills without an attitude problem. I’ve been in management and customer service for over 10 years, and I understand everyone has off days, but whoever is in charge needs to give at least two of these females working the speaker (5/25) a serious reality check and a refresher on professionalism and respect. They’re going to be the downfall of this Norman location. Once I was rung up by the male employee, one female (not sure of the two on the speaker) proceeds to hand me my drinks and compliment my tattoos while ending with “God bless.” Almost as if she realized how blatantly inappropriate the previous interaction was. For the sake of the company, management really needs to intervene. Coming from an OKC firefighter family, we will be avoiding this place to bypass...
Read moreWe went to this location on Sunday. As you can see from my previous 5 star review of the South side tropical smoothie the staff accomodated my request and made a smoothie bowl for me. At this location the cashier (who has bangs in her eyes and one large playboy bunny earring - details for owner because she had no name tag) was less than accommodating from the beginning. I began by explaining that I have a request that is out of the norm but I've had it done before and I could explain how to do it and how to charge me extra. She said "we will not do that here." I said, "you've done it before" She said, "at this location?" I said, "no, but at the south side in OKC" she said, "yeah, we are not going to do that here." It's hard to explain the complete lack of any initiative and pure contempt that came from this women's mouth. I went ahead and ordered a smoothie as did my husband. When she brought the smoothie to us she brought it without straws as she walked by the cup of straws. She said to us, "do you want straws?" And when we said yes she pointed at the straws as she walked by them and kept her back to us the entire time signalling get them yourself.
Very disappointed in...
