Personally I struggled with lactation and my Milk supply. I was constantly worried about not having enough to feed my new born baby. After doing a ton of research I stumbled upon Mabel Maes Magic lactation cookies! After my first batch I could already tell a major difference in my supply, not to mention they are simply DELISH! Seriously there is nothing else on the market that’s not only good for you but actually so delicious. I now am a Mabel Maes Addict and can’t stop won’t stop! My baby and I are so much happier now that we found Mabels cookies! ✨🍼💖

While on vacation in Charleston I looked up gluten free/vegan option and was thrilled to find Mabel Mae’s Bakery. I ordered the breakfast sampler in advance and arranged to pick it up. It was such a wonderful treat to have while on vacation. Our favorite was the blueberry muffin (which surprised me as I’m not always a muffin person) as it was moist and so flavorful. I also really enjoyed the pecan bun. My husband loved that it was refined sugar free as he is pretty sensitive to refined sugar. I highly recommend trying her stuff out!

Amazing birthday cake.... Listen, I've tried other lovely local bakeries and nothing is as good as Mabel Mae's cakes. You aren't compromising anything, the taste and texture of the frosting and cake are exactly what you would expect from a delicious conventional cake. I have celiacs and my husband ordered German chocolate cake for me. It was one of the best cakes I've ever had, gluten free or not. Love her scones and pastries too, such a gem here in Charleston!

I wanted to like these lactation treats, especially since they’re dairy and gluten free and don’t have refined sugar. I ordered a sampler and tried a couple when they arrived, then much to my dismay, my supply has tanked and both my baby and I are experiencing GI upset because there is fenugreek in some of the treats. I specifically reached out beforehand too, to ask whether there is any fenugreek in their products, only to see my message was read but not responded to. I thought to myself “surely they wouldn’t include fenugreek in their products since they’re so mindful of the ingredients being dairy and gluten free, and fenugreek is known to cause GI upset and a decrease in supply for many people”, but sure enough, I’m having to use my freezer stash up for the next few days to feed my baby while trying to build my supply back up. If you’re considering lactation treats, be sure that you’re able to consume fenugreek and brewers yeast without issues before buying. And to the bakery - please consider putting a warning on your website about the inclusion of these ingredients in...

Like others have said it’s a cute place if you’re at the downtown location with good ideas & they are trying to fill a needed gap in the community. The pastries are fine & when everything lines up the product can be enjoyable but there have been some obvious challenges with consistency both in product and ways of actually getting the good.. Sometimes the pastries are fresh & light & other times not as much & dense & the prices make it hard to want to take that chance more than once or twice. The owner is very nice & does offer replacements and refund for pickup mishaps but that only does so much sometimes but that could just be me having too high expectations of reliability with dietary restrictions. The N Charleston location also isn’t in a great area & isn’t worth the drive for replacements but again my opinion. There’s definitely a place for them in the downtown area if some kinks can be worked out & I’m rooting for them to find their...

I am obsessed with Mabel Mae’s lime matcha crumble bars, and the lemon ones too! They are incredibly delicious, satisfy my sweet tooth, and also have healthy ingredients! Amazing! I have made healthy ish treats in the past myself. But they are very work intensive and you have to have a lot of ingredients on hand. I work full time and then run my son around to tennis 5-6 days a week, so I don’t have the time or energy to make healthier delicious snacks. I love that Mabel Mae delivers! I buy a box of them, keep them in the freezer, and have them at my disposal. I am such a healthy eater in general, that traditional desserts or candy I could buy at grocery store or restaurant don’t feel good in my body! These sweet indulgences do! I encourage anyone reading this to give them a try. Warning: they...
