Waffle House — Restaurant in North Charleston

Just received the worst service possible. I’m exhausted, famished just got done with rugby practice. So we are at the restaurant with some friends, I order a water and a tea. Practically chug the water. The tea must have been stale or something. How can you have bad sweet tea in the south?! There is a guy there trying to hit on these young girls from across the restaurant. Fiddling around with his belt. Bragging about his junk. Then the waitress tells us that she has seen what he has and it wasn’t big that she saw it in high school. Then starts playing music from his phone and “rapping.” Moving around the restaurant dancing around the restaurant. Talking about drugs. Our waitress is over drinking alcohol with her friends. Gets some of our order wrong. My fiancé’s hash browns had onions. The cook offered to make us knew hash browns. Food takes forever to come out. The restaurant is freezing cold. The waitress didn’t even bring all of our food out, the kitchen guy did. The girl then took forever to give us our ticket because she was too busy hanging out with her friends. I must be getting older because I wanted to drag this guy hitting on these girls out by his ear! Is this how we court people in 2018?!

The only thing I expect my waitress/waiter to do is refill my drinks and let me know if my food is going to be out late. We would have tipped if they kicked that guy out. I couldn’t tip for bad service. All 4 of us believed that the service was bad. I understand that wait staff doesn’t make a lot of money, but there are other jobs hiring that pay more. My friend almost cursed out that guy rapping.

There were 3 tables. There was another girl and she just stood at the counter the whole time. I don’t know what she was doing.

I think this is the last time I’ll be at a Waffle House, last time I ate there they served me moldy bread! My apologies if my review is all over the place. This happened last night and I woke up this morning seeing if I still felt the same way and I did so I’m leaving this review to warn people about the terrible service.

We last visited here 4 years ago it was a horrible visit then. Now, this place is amazing. Josh, Td, Wendy, and Emily were absolutely amazing to watch in action and worked so smoothly together that none of them had skipped a beat. We were also amazed by the building full of many different nationalities. WE WILL BE BACK SOON! maybe this should be your training opening team.👍👍👍👍👍 Jan 20th, 2024: Josh, the one man machine, did his thing as usual, and Wendy gave us over the top table service. Everything was great, and our glasses never went empty. The right crew can make a world of a difference for a business. I believe from our visits and seeing for ourselves this WAFFLE HOUSE has figured it out. congratulations on such great hires. JUNE-23-2024: OMG, horrible experience! We walked in and asked how are y'all doing, but we didn't get a response from anyone no hello welcome WAFFEL HOUSE or nothing, I dont even think they even looked up. We sat down and waited for a few. Still, nothing the vibe from your employees was off, so we took our business elsewhere. I guess this is not a good place to eat at night unless Josh and A team are there. July 29th, 2024: pulled up, saw some new face, got out the car, walked in to see if Josh was on the grill, but he wasn't, but we thought i give the new faces a shot. Walked back to the car to get my family, we came in looked for a clean booth or table, sadly the only clean booth was by the rest rooms so we sat down, no welcome to WAFFLE HOUSE or nothing, sat there a few minutes still not a peep, they didn't acknowledged us in any way and sure didn't try to take our order. This was the #1 WAFFLE HOUSE in the area! this was our last visit to any WAFFLE HOUSE around here. Maybe we'll try again in a year or so. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT WASTE YOUR TIME STOPPING AT THIS...

Don't know what their problem is unless it's poor customer service and laziness. I called four times in a thirty minute period no one will answer the phone. Just a message they are helping other customers to call back. I'm a customer. So I guess if I want anything from waffle house I have to walk across the street from my hotel and order and wait for a to go order. What a awful way to treat customers. I guess they don't care about their customers. Well I walked across the street people two people was sitting at a table not busy. Three people working the cook two others. The female just looked at me when I walked in sat at the counter same with the male working. After five minutes sitting there I just walked out. The cook looked at me when I left didn't say anything. The owner should check out the bad service. He's probably losing a lot of business. I was try to order for two people. Would of been around 25 30 bucks. I always tip that would of...
