I'm typically not one to write reviews, but 5 stars doesn't do this place justice! I moved to Charleston 6 weeks ago from Nashville and I went to LoDi my first week here, and I have been hooked ever since! I have made the 20+ minute drive weekly (sometimes multiple visits per week) because this place is so fantastic! The salted toffee latte with oat milk & croissant are my absolute favorites, but honestly I've tried 5-10 items on the menu and everything has been delicious and consistent which is much appreciated! The real winner with this place is not the food though it's the incredible service. I can promise you that you won't find another business that provides the level of service that LoDi does (especially in this day and age where good service seems nonexistent in many places). I've never been to a drive-thru and had somebody sound so friendly to take your order, but that's what you will experience at this place. Then when you get to the window it continues. You aren't just treated like a person coming to get coffee, you are treated like a friend. The kindest and friendliest business in town. Honestly can't say enough good things about them. Give them a try I promise you will want to return...
Read moreToday was my first time trying Lodi. I will say the staff are very polite and create a great atmosphere. This review is not a reflection of them but Lodi itself. The food is just subpar. I got a medium matcha latte and a black bean, egg and cheese burrito with potatoes and peppers.
The matcha was filled 2/3 the way of the cup and doubled cupped due to how ridiculously hot the drink was. First sip burned my mouth and I waited about 20 minutes before I could drink it without burning myself. I was driving so I can't cool it down myself. The taste was more milk than matcha.
The burrito was just extremely bland and hot. It was handed to me wrapped in thin foil and a napkin. If a child grabbed carelessly it or someone dropped this on their lap they could burn themselves. No paper bags or sleeves????
Total price was $15 for a meal and drink I felt was more appropriate to $6. A huge letdown and I though with the prices not on the very wordy menu would be indication that they had decent quality.
TLDR if you feel you have to ask how much things cost and care about money well spent do not go here. Even though they boast high quality and organic ingredients its definitely not...
Read moreI've gone to the north Charleston location 3 times and the summerville location 2 times since they opened. Every single time I have attempted to get one of the cream puffs that everyone is always raving about. Every single time, they are sold out. I have gone at all different times of day except for when they open. Today I was there at noon. I honestly find it a little ridiculous that if you're not there first thing in the morning when they get their pastries delivered you essentially don't ever get to try one. If yall run out of them every day I don't understand why are you not ordering more of them? Selling out almost daily halfway through the day means you're not ordering enough.. It's unfair to those of us who cannot get there before 8am... Its rare for me to get a chance to treat myself and it's so disappointing that the last 5 times I've tried I have been let down each and every time. I honestly don't even want to bother trying anymore but cream puffs are my absolute favorite dessert and everyone else who seems to have been able to try one tells me how...
