This place is absolute trash. My daughter has been going there for lessons and practice for 2 years which ended today. We have dealt with the awful service, sky high prices, and food that may not be fit for human consumption for years until today when they tried to double charge us for lessons insisting that is how it's been for years. The front desk girl, the assistant manager, and the general manager were all the most horrible, condescending people I've ever dealt with. When I brought up the fact that I have never, in 2 and a half years, had to pay the extra fees they were trying to charge they began to act like it was my fault that the service was so bad. The manager kept telling me that I would do whatever he told me to do as if I were a slave rather than a customer who has spent thousands of dollars there. I am beyond disgusted with how my daughter and I were treated and do not recommend you visit. This is a terrible operation run by an absolutely awful human being. Management were the most rude, condescending people I have ever dealt with. The food is priced higher than an amusement park and I don't know for sure that it's even fit for human consumption. The "pizza" is made with cheese that doesn't even need to be chewed before it dissolves - cheese should not do that. The prices have gone through the roof while the quality has hit the floor.
If you're on vacation or looking for a fun night out, I suggest you head down to Frankie's Fun Park. I promise you, you...

Let's start with the positives: The rink itself is great and is properly taken care of. Extremely good prices You mostly don't need to buy tickets in advance
However... there are a few negatives that stick out: While I met some nice and kind staff there, most of them are rude or just don't seem to care at all. Rental skates are ridiculously gross, so make sure to bring your own if you can. Seriously, it seems as if they haven't been washed in years. The skates are also very uncomfortable. The place can be extremely crowded sometimes, and there doesn't seem to be any supervision at all, even when there are a lot of kids on the rink. If you want a less crowded experience, make sure to arrive early and look at the website public skating schedules (There are some adult only sessions). The bathrooms are gross and don't seem to be cleaned that often.
I definitely recommend skating here as there aren't many options around the low country, and the rink is also of great quality. But make sure to keep these negatives in mind when...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I did not have a decent experience here.
To start, I pre-purchased tickets online and they had this sign in the picture below which we we’re looking for but we didn’t see any other signs so we had to wait in the General admission line which was long and totally unacceptable.
Long line to get ice skates as well. The skates were not good either with the shoe lace style. Also forgot to mention, they do not have half sizes so you’ll either have a too big or too small skate if you are in the half size range like me.
For the icing on the cake, the ice rink was overcrowded (for it being the weekend and with only two hours to skate). A LOT of kids were using the skate masters making it hard to maneuver.
I understand this is the only rink in/near the Charleston area, but there needs to be changes for anyone that has sporting practice or events to alleviate the amount of people wanting to public skate at this place. If you go here, bring your own skates, get there early, and prepare to avoid a lot of people...
