I have never felt the desire to rate a wingstop poorly until now. Staff manager was not only rude and disrespectful but even worse indifferent... which is what caused the mistake they made with my wife's order and depending on your issue may end up being worse than just a rude or disrespectful employee.... my wife placed a very simple order 10 classic ALL Cajun she receives "her order" comes home to find that it is not correct she was given 10 half lemon pepper half original hot instead. Having been out all day running kids around in preparation for school we are not in the mood to go all the way back just to fix the mistake we didn't make so I call... First I'm talking to the shift worker who made the mistake and she's nice a bit unequipped to handle a customer with an issue after a few awkward pauses as I'm explaining what happens she explains that my wife's food is still sitting there and that there was a mix up she never took ownership of her mistake which shows the lack pride or concern they have in their work because my wife didn't hop the counter a pick up her own order it was given to her incorrectly..... The worker offered different options of what she knew that she could do but all of it involved me having to drive back to the store and receiving nothing in return for the inconvenience so I requested a refund and my original order be made correctly and then she said she didn't know but could ask the manager she put on the shift manager who proceeded to say they cant give me a refund and my original order but she can throw in a couple extra wings which I as the customer didn't feel completely rectified the mistake and then to make matters worse this comes out of her mouth.... here's the catch that made everything instantly not worth it to even consider she says no matter when I come in (even days from now) I must bring the mistaken wings in to get a refund or my original order and I'm thinking like what???? This is not walmart you can't just reshelve wings like I'm not even getting my refund and my original order like I asked BUT most importantly this mistaken order is useless to me for being wrong and useless to wingstop from the moment it left the store with the wrong customer.... but that's what she requested then throughout our conversation she's so indifferent in handling my issue showing no empathy at all as if I was the one making a mistake... she was giving too much confusing information so I ask for the wingstop return/ refund policy be sent to me in writing via email because I'm not understanding how she is coming to the options she's giving me she tells me no to talk to corporate then proceeds to talk over me or attempted to saying she's not gonna sit up here and argue or whatever else acting like she live birthed the chickens they get their wings from and hung up on me the customer 3x this wingstop will not get another dime from me and I surely hope they hire better quality employees who understand how customer service should go this isn't the first time I've had issues with this wingstop but because of very poor management and customer service it...
Read moreI never cease to be amazed at how restaurant managers can be so cavalier about losing business. I had been ordering quarterly for a university campus, large orders each day of a particular quarter, 4x a year. My orders would total at minimum $5k a year if they cared enough about doing business with me to KEEP my business.
I was calling in each morning requesting orders from the Manager - to have the order ready for our students - that I would pick up at 4:30PM. Would they have it ready when I got there at 4:30PM? rarely. Two days ago I picked up the order, traversed a great distance in horrific Charleston traffic. I get to the campus and have many hungry students to feed. I then realize they only gave me HALF of what I had ordered and paid. So I call them and tell them. I needed someone to deliver the rest because time was of the essence. They couldn't despite their mistake. I said "we'll I'll pick them up if you comp them." The young lady rightfully said ok to that. This was an employee, not a Manager; however, as a Manager myself, I can say that this employee was more professional than anyone there and made me feel better as a customer than ANYONE in this organization.
So the next day I spoke with the actual Manager and she hedged upon what I was told and said she would "have to get approval". She was supposed to let me know. I said "I'll have exactly what I ordered yesterday and we can settle up on that matter later ." She agreed.
I show up at this Wingstop at 4:30PM AGAIN yesterday. Was my order that I had placed 67 hours prior ready for me to pick-up and bring to my students? Of course not! I waited about a half hour and THEN WAS AGAIN LATE! "But wait, there's more!" Not only did Monica, the Manager NOT have them ready with my large order at 4:30PM, she was not there!
The salt in the wound here is that the nice young lady working the register had to call Monica on the phone about the 50% discount I was told I would get, which would have offset the prior day's DEBACLE they caused. GET THIS. Monica refused and gave me a 20% discount. THIS ON TOP OF the fact that this very day they were late AGAIN!
My friends - THIS - is a case study on HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS INTO THE GROUND! This is what we teach in business school. They royally screwed up my quarterly celebration of students at my campus - and they wouldn't give me a 50% discount on that day in which they made my life a stress filled nightmare. And all I did to them was TRY to find reasons to order several thousand dollars of wings from them!
If I were Wingstop and I gave two craps about my corporate name and reputation, I would revoke this franchise immediately. There is no room for businesses in this competitive environment who have such contempt for...
Read moreThis was the worst food experience I have ever had in my life. Not only when I walked in was it not being well maintained in terms of cleanliness, there were only 2 other guest in front of my waiting for food. I believe that my food would surely take no more than 20 minutes. The poor girl at the front counter taking orders must have been in training, and it was evident they did not train her well at all. She was struggling to answer basic questions about their menu. Once I placed my order I quickly got frustrated when I saw there was probably 8 staff members in the back, but only one of them was actually working. She was dropping the food, saucing the wings, cookings the fries, boxing up the meals, and handing them to guest. Everyone else was on their phones and listen to inappropriate work music. Then as I was waiting for my food for OVER 45 minutes I was approached a total of 4 different times telling me there was something on my order they would not be able to fulfill.I have personally worked in fast food, so I was trying to be very patient and kind because I am well aware the workers cannot control all of their circumstances. However they lacked the decency to try figure out what they did and did not have. I approached the counter maybe 2 times to see what they hold up was on my order, and they told me it was coming. Yet there were 6 other people who got there after me that got served before me. I was disgusted at this point. When I finally received my order I asked them to please ensure it was correct. The boy handed me my food and said “ma’am I promise you it is right”. Unfortunately I was only on an hour lunch break with 15 minutes to get back to my job and eat, so I did not have time to check the bag. When I got back to work with only 5 minutes left to eat I saw that my whole order (food that I ordered for coworkers as well) was completely wrong. I couldn’t not even eat my food. When I went back at the end of the day I still made sure to be kind, but the manager then informed me that the first shift had messed up orders all day long. I politely asked for a refund because I could not eat $60 worth of remade food by myself. She apologized and took my information down to send it up to her regional manger for me to receive a refund. She informed me it would take 7-10 business days for me to see my money again. Despite me being frustrated with the wait I still choose to be polite and wait for the refund because there are some people in this world that don’t even have that. Here we are over two weeks later and I have still not received a refund. I called the store multiple times and I have gone to the store multiple times ,and I am still out $60. Please do not waste your money, time, or patience with this ridiculous...
