Nestled in the heart of Miami, Talkin' Tacos stands out with a fresh, vibrant ambiance that truly captivates. The restaurant’s decor feels new and inviting, featuring a unique artistic flair with Dia de los Muertos-themed glow-in-the-dark murals by Luis Valle, a renowned Miami-based muralist. The dimly lit space highlights these colorful neon signs and artworks, creating an atmosphere that’s both cozy and visually striking. It’s a refreshing change from the more generic interiors of most eateries, drawing guests in with its warmth and creative energy.
The service at Talkin' Tacos is unparalleled. Having dined at various Miami spots, I can confidently say the team here sets a new standard for customer care. Under the leadership of Jackie, an irreplaceable manager, the staff consistently ensures each guest feels welcomed and valued. Jackie’s presence infuses a sense of belonging, encouraging patrons to relax, explore the menu, and try something new. The staff, fully bilingual and enthusiastic about the menu, eagerly share recommendations; their favorite suggestion was the Taco Trio, allowing us to sample a variety of flavors. Jackie and her team’s dedication to excellence are the heartbeat of Talkin' Tacos.
The menu itself is packed with amazing and unique offerings. One standout dish was the Mahi Mahi Tacos: served on a corn tortilla, with layers of red cabbage, avocado salsa, crispy fried mahi, spicy mayo, pico de gallo, and cilantro. The Caribbean Carne Tacos were equally unforgettable, featuring marinated steak topped with sliced plantains, avocado salsa, cotija cheese, and cilantro. And for a daring twist, the Birria Ramen combined tender beef birria, ramen noodles, consommé, onions, and cilantro—an extraordinary fusion of flavors.
Talkin' Tacos doesn’t stop at food; they offer an impressive selection of drinks too. The Mangonada—a frozen mango treat with a mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy elements—was an unforgettable choice. Other refreshing beverages, like the Strawberry Lemonade and Sunrise Punch, rounded out a delightful drink experience.
Each dish arrives with impeccable presentation, embodying the restaurant’s fun, quirky spirit. Vibrant colors and thoughtful plating make the food as visually appealing as it is delicious. The ingredients are harmoniously arranged, with sauces and garnishes enhancing the aesthetic while adding flavor.
Finally, Talkin' Tacos delivers exceptional quality at a great value. The generous portions and top-notch service make it a go-to spot for food lovers. With spotless cleanliness and a commitment to safety and hygiene, Talkin' Tacos guarantees a comfortable dining experience. Read moreThe reason why I’m giving this specific location a 2star is because this was my very first time eating and buying from them . I was greeted by gabby very nice girl she helped me and my husband order on the kiosk . As we were ordering I verbally told her several time I do NOT eat corn tortillas we both agreed she would have them replace the corn tortillas for flour . Ok cool , long story short I took her word for it and did not open the food until I got home because I took her word for it . Now I’m home getting ready to eat my tacos with my husband who’s also in wheelchair I noticed the order was wrong my tacos were not flour tortillas. My husband called the restaurant beforehand explaining the issue, gabby was the one that picked she did apologize for the inconvenience and said she would fix it . So I Ubered my way back for $30.00 to have them correct the order because I was specific on not eating corn tortillas because my throat swells up when I eat them . I finally get to the restaurant the manager Joe came up to ask me about my order I didn’t even get to explain my reasoning of coming back he immediately circled the time of when I ordered the food to the time I came back to return it . Luckily gabby briefly explained to him that it was a mistake on her part . Ok cool , what I did not like is the fact that he didn’t even allow me to speak or explain why it took so long for me to realize the order was wrong . If anything the look on his face was like as if I came back for free food. In which it was NOT the case at all I spent 38.00 on my tacos and expected it to be the way I ordered it I believe in principles! It was my first time trying out that spot. Next time I’ll check my food before leaving because it looks like there’s a lot of miscommunications in that restaurant branch I wish they would work more cohesively to avoid paying customers like me from leaving long reviews like this . Yes I’m Happy he fixed the food . But I’m Slightly offended by how he never allowed me to explain myself. I’m not a scammer or a thief I take pride in myself and in all That I do . So future reference double check customers orders before they leave. Below is the wrong order(I already gave away) that was made and the corrected order . For right now I’ll say no I wouldn’t go back to that spot I’ll try another taco joint food was ok typical shrimp and fish taste nothing major. Btw thanks for your patience you with me you’re a good hostess . Just double check the orders next time to avoid...
Read moreThe decor on the walls reminds me of Dia De Los Muertos, it was amazing, the pathway to the bathroom was so ethereal, I loved every minute of it from when i stepped foot in there. Service was amazing, vibes was great, I don’t know her name but she attended to my friend and I and helped us decide on what we wanted which made it so much easier to get food, we got almost one of everything. In my opinion, you have to try the horchata it was delicious it tasted like the milk from cinnamon toast crunch. My favorite appetizer was definitely the loaded nachos, but i would definitely get the street corn nachos bc the street corn in the cup was 12/10. As for tacos, the caribbean tacos was overall my favorite, whoever idea it was to add sweet plantains deserves their flowers, it was impeccable and there was just so much flavor, within the meat itself, runner up is definitely the steak al pastor, the pickled onions, also the pineapple and avocado salsa just ties it together it’s amazing. For dessert, I got the cookies and cream churros, i’m not a big churro fan, but these were definitely worth their price, the way the flavor consumes you after that first bite is divine. Our server Aladdin was amazing, his recommendations definitely helped as well, he suggested we try the southwest chicken tacos, and they were absolutely delicious, the fried onions, paired with the flavor of the chicken tied together with the spicy mayo is just simply divine, it was amazing. Our total came up to be around $132.72 for two, which is worth it considering everything we got. Overall coming to Talkin’ Tacos exceeded my expectations 10/10, I will definitely be coming...
