6/19/19. My family (wife, 4, 7, 10 year old) went to the North Myrtle Beach Arby’s. While pulling up, my son 10, went into the restaurant to use the restroom while we continued through the drive thru. After ordering and taking my money they told us to please pull forward (as any Arby’s does) and our food would be out shortly. Then my son came back out extremely upset saying some guy cleaning sprayed him in the face with cleaner while he was in the bathroom. I smelled his head which smelt of disinfectant spray and went in to speak with the manager. I asked the manager who was cleaning the bathrooms and she replied, “no employees have been in the bathroom cleaning all day”. I explained to her just what happened and she said “well not my problem” while barley making eye contact with me and walking on past. “Excuse me” I replied angrily, “an employee of yours just assaulted my child, it is most definitely your problem”. I then noticed a young man walk past the register starring a hole through me and smirking. I quickly asked another employee, who was standing in awe and who looked absolutely mortified, “was it him? Was he the one who just cleaned the bathrooms?” Yes, she nodded with big eyes. The boy then said, “look dude, I don’t have to explain myself”. I nearly jumped over the counter and wadded him up but I decided instead knock the counter hard with my knuckles and demanded my money back. Everyone just ignored me like I wasn’t there so I did it louder but still nothing. I then smacked my palm on the counter sounding like a gun shot and shouted “hey $35.40 NOW”. then the manager walked by with no eye contact and just threw the wadded up money at me. I demanded an explanation of why she lied to me about an employee cleaning and asked to speak to her boss. She tapped at a framed owner info sheet and replied “she won’t answer or call you back” so I told her I was calling the police. she said “man, he’s just seventeen they won’t do anything”. I then went out and brought my son back in and asked him who sprayed him in the face so he pointed at the 17 year old. I then snapped several Live Photo’s of him waving and taunting the camera. The boy then said “I ain’t got anything to say to him or your a$$”. The manager, after watching several customers who came in to order leave after listening to what was going on told me to leave. So, I called 911 and met the police in the parking lot of Arby’s and filed charges on the 17 year old for child abuse. While this was all going on I called the owner 20 times with no response. After talking the the police I went straight over to the Chick Fillet drive thru and while in line my children pointed out that the 17 year old was taking out the trash beside my truck and was flipping my family the middle finger and waving. I did end up receiving a short call back from the owner much much Later and she basically told me they didn’t use cleaning solution in the bathroom, not even allowing me to explain the entire story, then no further correspondence. Even after I tried to call the owner back still nothing. The Police while doing the report, were furious explaining how in S.C. 17 is plenty old enough to get in big boy trouble. I told them that I personally had spent 10 years in State level law enforcement and I am now a full time career firefighter and absolutely hated that it all went down this way. I apologized to the police because I know in Myrtle Beach they are already covered up but this was atrocious behavior by the staff at Arby’s all the way from the 17 yr old bottom feeder to the owner. They completely understood and assured me the report would be expedited so I will definitely be pursuing this further. After all this, I will never ever so help me, eat at...
Read moreWe went there for my husband's lunch because it wasn't too crowded and now we know why. Went in and ordered. The manager was standing there counting money in front (which was fine) but they couldn't get around her to be able to prepare the customers orders. Then when she realized I had been standing there for almost 10 minutes waiting on two meals she went straight over and started handling food. Now mind you the sandwiches were wrapped (thank goodness) but the fries were not. She didn't even bother to wash her hands before going over and handling our fries. I then noticed that she even picked up fries that had fallen out of the container (once again with her nasty hands) and put them back into the container. I said something to her about why did you not bother washing your hands before handling my food or at least put on gloves and her response was " we are not required to do either!" Well you might as well go to the bathroom and stick your hands in the toilet and then handle the food because you have just as many germs on your hands. I mean come on! She didn't act too concerned that I was upset . Needless to say I did not eat any of the fries and was very hesitant about eating the sandwich. I called corporate and was told that they would pass this issue on to the owner of the franchise for this area. Yeah well that went nowhere! I don't want anything out of this for free, I just want people to be aware that unless you want to get sick dont eat at this establishment. Don't waste your money, and go somewhere that the manager actually acts like she cares about the customers concerns. This is the last time we will be eating there! Chicfilet is right next door I suggest using Arby's parking lot and walking right over for a lot better and fresher meal. I have met the manager at Chick-fil-A and he actually cares about the concerns of...
Read moreWhen I originally posted this review I was very, very generous. The Arby's in NOTH MYRTLE BEACH is without a doubt the worse Arby's I have ever had the displeasure of eating in. I routinely order a ruben sandwich at every Arby's I go to and this is the worst. There is at least 50% less corned beef on their sandwiches than I recieve at ALL other Arby's, like in Cockeysville. Md. or Shrewsbury, Pa. I know that the portions are weighed for quality control and uniformity, but some thing is seriously wrong at the NMB store. Is product being taken home by employees, or being with held to increase profits ? Not an accusation, but why so little meat? Why a sandwich so subpar to other Arby's? The center sploch of meat does not extent to the outer crust. Sadly, this is the third, but last time I will ever patronize this location. They have the meats, they just don't share them, which id why I will brave the crowds at Chick-fil-a next door...
