This will be kind of long so I will separate it in parts Incase anyone reading this review wants to skim through.
I, along with other business owners & people who work from home come here to do work. We also meet clients here AND buy from here. I know cafes are fine with this... however, don't come here with the intentions of doing that. I'm here a max of 2 hours during their slow times & when they get busy I leave. Seems as the others do the same. According to their own employees that were in the back talking about it as if no one could hear them - "I don't care. I don't think it is right for them to come in here just sitting for hours taking tables that others could sit at. I mean yeah it's okay right now." mind you, even when I come in here just for my food there is NO ONE in here on a laptop during their busy times.
About the food: Portion size is not worth it for the price. They constantly get people's food wrong, and constantly have cold bitter coffee.
About the service: This is the rudest, childish, more unprofessional Panera that I have ever been to. I haven't been here in about three months so I don't know when she was hired but the other day there was a loud speaking manager in a red shirt with dark colored hair (she is the best they have now). She had everyone working in the kitchen, and when she was up there no food was getting passed out wrong. Soon as she told someone that she was going to the office to do paperwork, food started getting brought back up because it was wrong.
Attitudes! When they get people's food wrong they are bad for catching attitudes with the customers like it is the customer's fault. The other day a man with an accent but EASILY could be understood, had to bring his food back FOUR times. His food did not get fixed correctly until that loud speaking manager came back from the office. Then the girl that kept getting it wrong said "well I couldn't understand him." Employees don't even respect the GM because they quite loudly talk about how he isn't fit to lead. I feel like when staff don't even have respect for management you KNOW they aren't going to get any better.
Bathrooms: Always out of toilet paper. Almost every time that I do go to the bathroom ladies are in there talking about how it is always nasty and no tissue. It currently smells like a urinal with hot pee & has smelled like that for 2 days now so apparently no one is mopping or cleaning it. Like I said - I haven't been here in like three months so I don't know how long it has been like that.
Conclusion: Do your self a favor and choose somewhere else to eat. If you do eat here - CHECK your food before leaving. Not just to make sure you got all your items, check the ingredients too. The other day they didn't give a woman the chicken on her sandwich. About 5 months ago they gave me a citrus drink with MOLD floating along the top and the manager acted like she didn't see it when she put it up on the counter.
*As a business I HATE leaving bad ones to businesses. I have held off on making a review thinking "well, they will get better" but it is just absolutely outrageous how even the...
Read moreWe went to Panera yesterday and the guy took our order with no total and told us to pull around. We sat in that drive thru for an extreme amount of time. When we got to the window the guy asked me what I ordered and I told him. The guy mumbled what the total was and took my card. He handed me my card back with no receipt. We sat there for a very long time. He came back and handed me a bag and I looked in it because I had ordered a salad and a sandwich and it didn't feel right. Of course it wasn't because it appeared to be two subs. So I got his attention and told him it wasn't what I ordered. I handed it back to him and he put it with the several bags of food on the counter next to the register. Apparently he was just picking random bagged orders and handing them out hoping to pass it on to people whether it was their order or not. Which where I am from once it's out the window and handed to someone you can't take it back and then hand it to the next person. He asked me what I ordered again and I told him. A lot of time passed and he handed me another bag. I pulled the items out and handed him the salad back and told him I had ordered it without cheese. He took it over and either him or another employee removed the cheese and put the lid back on it and handed it back. He said anything else? I said I need a fork. He went and got one. Not in plastic wrap or anything. And I said I need a receipt for what I paid for. He looked confused at the register and went and got the manager. I thought to myself he didn't can't give me a receipt because I didn't pay for my food but someone else's. She came back and told me she would get that refund for me. I didn't ask for a refund? I wanted receipt. That told me his English must have been very limited because he only knew two questions to ask and didn't seem to know how to use the register. She gave me a receipt for the refund of 9.99 but not the order receipt. She didn't ask me anything about what was going on and seemed to be in a hurry. I had to log into my online banking to see what the total was and it was 24.34. For a salad and a sandwich? Like unreal. I'm still not sure what I paid was for my actual order. I bet I was in that drive thru for almost an hour being only the second customer in line. The manager had no clue. As well as why would you put someone on a register that is supposed to take orders that can't speak English and isn't trained? I had never been to a Panera bread in my life and I don't expect to ever return to one. I still don't see the refund reflected on my account. So I'm likely going to have to call someone higher. The food quality definitely wasn't worth that...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible! I have been to this Panera location a handful of times and each time it gets worse, to the point I will not go back. The workers are usually too busy to wait on customers and talking among themselves to the point as a patron you feel awkward to interrupt their personal conversations. Aside from pretty much never having all the menu items available, or all ingredients, or heck, even cash (recent sign read “exact change only and cards only”), the food in amounts and quantity are lacking. We ordered 2 bowls, a Mediterranean with chicken and a Baja with chicken the other night. The person taking our order never asked what we wanted for our side item or if we were eating in or not. I had to ask if I had any offers available in my account, which apparently I did (that expired the next day, but that wasn’t mentioned). When the order was ready it was packed in a to-go bag even though we were eating in. The to go disposable bowls are small and the presentation is quite different given that the food is all crammed in and the bowl has a flat plastic lid on it. If that were the problem…just the opposite. There was so little food in the bowl, the ingredients only filled it half way. The items didnt shift or slide in transit since the bag was literally carried 50 feet from the counter to the table. It was absolutely mind blowing to pay more than $11 for what we got. I went to the pick up counter and was told that I was given their standard portion for the entree. There was no explanation as to why it was in a carry out container or why it only filled 1/2 the time bowl. Spoke to the manager. Got the same line of reasoning and was told if it were in a regular bowl it would be the same portion….BTW, which looks NOTHING like what’s portrayed in the photos they have of the bowl by the front counter. I counted 3 pieces of chicken in the entire salad. After questioning the lack of food in the entree the manager offered to make a new salad in a real bowl….and amazingly it looked much better since the quantity was able and filled the bowl. Really...
