There are a row of tables by the beer taps in the gaming area that do not have any "Reservation Only" signage on them. After sitting for quite a while, a group of people arrived at the table next to us and were greeted by a server and their orders were taken. My father-in-law went to the bar to inquire about service and a server came out and took he and my mother-in-law's order. While waiting for their food to arrive, an employee came to the table and told us that the table was reserved seating and that we were lucky that there was no upcoming reservation for the next few hours. My mother-in-law said she understood and that she had no idea it was reserved seating. It should have been a quick exchange, but it seems the employee had an axe to grind. She was chastising my mother-in-law, a paying customer who had already ordered food. Twice during the discourse my mother-in-law asked her if she wanted us to move to a regular table and the employee said no, but then continued to lecture her. It seemed like my mother-in-law was being forced to defend herself and at one point she calmly explained that her husband had spoken to the bartender about getting service and the bartender hadn't told him that it was reserved seating. The employee sternly replied, "A bartender is not a hostess."
After the employee finally left the table, I sat there astounded. My mother-in-law considered cancelling the order and leaving, but since it was a celebration of her grandson's birthday and the kids were all having fun playing games, she and my father-in-law received their orders and ate. It was so uncomfortable, like we were all unwelcome and had unknowingly waltzed into a stranger's house and had sat at their dining table.
My in-laws must have spent at least two hundred dollars on the gaming cards for their grandkids, as well as whatever they paid for their meals and drinks, but were treated like they were in there asking for a handout. This was also around noon and a lot of tables in the place were empty, including the two tables next to us. It's not as if we had waltzed into a packed establishment and brazingly sat at an obvious reservation-only table, being unfair to the other customers there, but that seemed to be the employee's perception of us based on our scolding.
I myself went to the bar at one point to order a Coke and there was no signage there either, so apparently I was standing at the section of the bar for the servers and didn't realize it until a server said, "This area is for servers," and I quickly apologized and moved. He wasn't rude, it was just a quick verbal exchange, as...
Read moreWe planned to stop at this location after meeting halfway to drop my oldest son off to go back to visit friends who live in Indiana my husband myself, and our other four kids were with us so after a 2 Hour Dr. it was a plan to just hang out somewhere and have some fun before heading Two hours back home. We spent basically $300 to get cards loaded to play games only for two adults and four kids. That being said the place was a bit busy but it was a weekend so that was expected, some games were down for maintenance or broken, and a lot of games seemed to lag or just simply wouldn’t work and weren’t even marked they were unavailable. But that’s not even the bad part. We didn’t partake in food we already ate elsewhere and knew the food reviews here were terrible so we didn’t bother. Here’s the kicker. The newest game room, is $20 extra and you get to play for 20-30 mins and as many people as you want to involve in this amount of time. I’ve never experienced this room but my husband and step son have a month ago and enjoyed it. So we pay and go to the room, long story short the system is frozen for this room. It won’t take our card, maintenance comes over tried a few things and still can’t get the room up and running, it’s 8pm and we don’t have anymore time to hang out so we said we have a two hour trip to get home we need a refund, we proceed to the counter where I paid for this room, and a manager comes up, basically asks what’s going on then proceeds to offer me a gift card I said no thank you I’m not local, I want a refund he then tells me they can’t do anything today I have to wait for it to hit my bank, I asked for a some sort of proof such as a review and he had nothing to give me, we bantered back and forth and he gave me my original receipt and managers card and said he refund would process he next day. It’s been four days and I still haven’t received it and the money did process. It’s $20 I know that’s not much money but it wasn’t handled professionally and they didn’t seem to care at all that we were walking out on faith that a refund was coming. Just really upsetting that the visit was cut short due to the room being down first off then the fiasco with the refund not being handled properly at all. Needless to say we aren’t going back...
Read moreI would not recommend this place I recently was considering going here for the new years eve event they were having and so before buying some tickets which were showing a cost online of $81 without 2 drinks and $101 with 2 drinks I wanted to check the place out and ask some questions so I drove over. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot I saw the sign was missing and there was alot of construction and its kinda in a tucked away sketchy area which is really sad. I thought maybe it will be better inside. I walked in and there were not alot of employees and tons of plastic liner and definitely construction going on so if your gonna be offering an event maybe you should consider that in the cost. I did the math for you for the event you get a $20 Power card with unlimited Video games only so this excludes any games you get tickets on meaning no skee ball or bowling! Indecided to count them and saw that was 75 total seats for non ticket games. Also the advertisement makes it seem like there will be a buffet of food out all night of unlimited availability but after asking I was told if you don't arrive early you may not get food and it's only a certain amount per person they will put out this right here is a deal breaker I am not paying $100 to have you limit the food! Plus I asked how many tickets are being sold and it's 100 so at minimum they are making $8,000 and at Max at least more than 11K with people drinking I think they could leave the food out with a under construction premises. Finally they are allowing kids now this could be good or bad for you but after 9 typically Dave and Busters is Adults only so this for me is another deal breaker only because all the games will be monopolized and it won't be as fun.so again I would not recommend this location or this event hopefully next time they will think about things a little more before creating an event with such a ridiculous price. See pics below btw the flier in the location shows without "Tax and gratuity" lol and then you go online and see the "Real Price".
