I adore Mexican food. I cld eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'm a connoisseur, LOL. Having eaten food IN small Mexican towns like Patzcuaro and Morelia as well. Anyway.....See photos. For every bite of my STEAK burrito, I'm spitting out gristle. Really?! You have to be INTENTIONAL and care about whether or not you want to serve your customers/guests the very best. And this burrito said to me, "we don't care about trimming off the inedible parts of our meat", they'll still pay $10.50 for it. You might ask, why take the time to write a negative review?Because it just bothers me when business owners don't seem to care about the customers they're asking to support their businesses. And here we are trusting you to feed us what you would feed your family! It just toasts my panties to pay $11.00 for a single burrito and spit out garbage with every bite! Do many of your customers rave about loving gristle in their burrito? I didn't see any reviews to that effect. Because I was under the impression that its the job of the cook to trim that stuff away! I had enough gristle at the end to make a gristle taco!! Finally, if you're reading this review and craving an excellent Mexican culinary experience that you can take out in a styrofoam container, and if you want gristle-free steak in your burrito or taco, make a special trip to Taco Azeteca on Odgen in Brookfield. OMG! THAT's Mexican food cooked with love, quality and care! And their salsa verde is the BOMB and they don't charge you extra if you'd like a few more thrown in with your order.

Had been wanting to try this place for a while and ended up stopping in while running some other errands downtown. Kind of put off that everything was sort of slopped on the chips, and it was hard to spread everything out to get all the different flavors mixed, instead of in sections, so I decided to take it home. That was my mistake - it didn’t travel well and wasn’t that appealing cold. I will definitely try this place again and maybe make a different menu selection. The staff was nice and I would love to have an experience that is similar to what the other reviewers have had.

The tacos are a real good size. They are pretty big in comparison to other Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area. When I went in today, prices were a bit lower than usual. That’s always great !! Especially since I thought they were a bit pricey. They are worth it though. I also get the steak tacos. The meat is also tender and the other ingredients are always fresh ! It’s a nice little spot in Downtown Oak Park

I visited the Boss Burrito restaurant tonight purchased the vegetarian taco dinner to go. When I arrived home sat down to eat my food everything was lukewarm to cool and the guacamole was not fresh. I called the restaurant and spoke to the daughter. I explained to her that my dinner was not hot and fresh reiterating my comments above. Her reply was the beans and rice are kept hot. I repeated that I live 10 minutes away and my food was not fresh , not hot, and the quacamole was not fresh. Her only response was I’m sorry. Not once did she offer to replace the meal .Not once did she offer a refund. Not once was I offered a satisfactory solution. Not once did she offer to do anything for selling a bad meal and it’s not even 6:00 pm the restaurant does not close until 9:00 pm so there was no reason not to make up for such bad service tonight. The parents’ English may not be fluent but the daughter speaks fluent English so I’m very disappointed with the response and attitude I received of this family business having no problems taking my money and selling me food not up to standards tonight from Boss Burrito. But more importantly as a 70 year old senior citizen who was looking forward to a delicious hot dinner tonight i was not given the courtesy nor satisfaction of this family correcting their error with a simple and small gesture to just replace the meal but I never was afforded...
