I hate to do reviews like this but I have to keep it real. We love to go explore and popular venues. We came to check out the Sand lake location before a movie we came with plenty of time 9pm. Once we got there it was good that we were seated right away. We did wait a little while before we got a server. The server was friendly but very short. It felt a little rush. We selected the mojitos. We picked coconut and passion fruit and I didn't know there were different sizes so she's like. Would you want a large and I'm like I'm not sure and then she's like you'll love a large great fine who wouldn't want more drinks which kind of makes sense At the end ,we got our drinks. They were pretty good. They were pretty stronggg. I did realize the pineapple was a little old and tasted funny but ignored it . We placed our orders. I asked if something could be removed and she's like no but you could take it out and then I didn't know it was going to be a fondue of cheese over my meal but at the same time she was kind of rushing me and like finished my sentence for me when I was still confused and trying to decide if I wanted something with cheese on it because I am alil lactose 🫣. Once we got our plates The plates look sad. There was barely any beans in my beans. It was just all liquid. I had a fondue of cheese all over that I didn't expect You couldn't even taste the Maduro inside with the chicken because the cheese overpowered everything, I dealt with it because I don't like to send things back and she was kind of Mia. I didn't know that I was going to get a dry salad. I had no offers on any dressings or salt pepper on it. The plate looked bare by the time I got her attention to bring me the salad dressing. I was already Midway through my meal. My partners was not satisfying either his was a bistec encebollado n it was dry no flavor n so small .. You should have seen his face. He looks so sad. He's like what's this. We made the best of it. By the time we finished we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for our server. She was very busy dealing with a big party and everyone else was to the side by the registers, we waited so long that we had to stand up and wait for it, standing up 1050iish. We made it to our movie 10-15 minutes after. We've gone to the semoran location and it wasn't bad So we had high hopes for the Sand lake location but I don't know. We left a little disappointed especially with the amount that we paid. If we're going to pay what we paid I should have a gourmet meal n experience......
Read moreIf I could give it 7 out of 7 stars for the above qualities listed I most definitely would. I've visited this phenomenal place this past Sunday with a couple friends, I happened to be the 3rd wheel but for what we ate, the service we experienced and the awesome energy that was surrounding us... I'd definitely be 3rd wheel or 5th wheel even, in fact someone out of there in Orlando surprise me. I can't wait, I'll be looking forward to it. 😁 Everything from chicken, pasta, beef, churrascia, seafood and all types of Hispanic cuisine is here.
The people are beautiful, absolutely beautiful and I mean that in a cultural way. The families and friends getting together on a Sunday and being casual and behaving after a long weekend of doing what is done in this city beautiful, it is almost humbling. I wasn't surprised as much as I was intrigued with how people can come together and represent for their culture and if there happens to be static (bc there was static at one point between a certain party) they were able to put it to the side and not let it ruin the love, peace and happiness that was encircling that restaurant. It was a proud moment.
I'm not Hispanic (at least I don't think I am) when it comes to bloodline but when it comes to my friends and extended family, no actually my family true family, it happens to be Hispanics (boricua) the Puerto Ricans that have adopted me and considered me one of their own and that's a beautiful thing. I don't have a family in regards to where I came from but I can say that Orlando is where I'm from and if you know or haven't heard that Orlando IS Hispanic, know you know. Anyone is more than welcome to fact check me, anyone from Orlando FL I mean truly a native and not a visitor or snow bird knows that the city of Orlando is Hispanic ethnic and traditions that have been brought over from the islands and it's a sure thing. The presence of Puerto Ricans in the city is by far the most in numbers and per capita. Known fact but anyway, Italians have Olive Garden and Puerto Ricans have El...
Read moreVery disappointed with this place and the service. My wife has been seeing the amazing food that gets posted on their page and we realized our hotel was 9 min away from this restaurant we were stoked. We arrive and there was a big party in front of us waiting. Surprisingly we went up to the hostess and we were seated right away. It was me my wife and two kids. We sat down at 7:50pm and a waitress welcomed us as she walked by. We thought she was our waitress but we literally sat there for 20 min and I had to stop a waitress and ask where are server was. She comes back to say that no one had any idea we were there. I was like, “what the hell?” Fine, she then apologizes and is now our server. We put out drink orders in and thankfully our dinner orders in. The drinks came back fairly quickly and the kids food came out shortly after. The kids started eating and we were still waiting for our food. I would probably say another 20 min after my kids got their food. The food was good it wasn’t a wow but good. Then our server asked us once how everything was and then didn’t see her for a while. I pretty much finished my food and my wife was almost done then she finally came by and I asked for a box. Another 20 min passed and she didn’t come by and still hadn’t received the check. By this time waiting it was 9:30pm almost 2 hours dining in. I finally got up and asked for the manager and apologized and that they were super busy because of the holidays and offered us a flan and i told her that isn’t what I wanted and all I wanted was to make her aware because we don't live here and know that Orlando is known for the Puerto Rican food and the service was just awful. Super disappointed with this place and definitely will not be coming back. I would much rather eat a Puerto Rican food truck 1000 times over. I never do this but it was just...
