I highly recommend AVOIDING the McAlistair’s location in Oak Ridge. When the kitchen makes a mistake on your order and you respectfully tell the food runner it is incorrect. Go ahead and expect Crystal, the food runner, to go up to the food window in front of a huge line of customers, mock and disrespect everything you say with a woman on the other side who appeared to be entertaining everything that Crystal was saying. Unfortunately for her, Crystal had left the table so suddenly without saying anything, that I had walked up to the counter to find out what was going on and then got to watch her loudly in front of all the guests and staff rudely disrespecting me. I then proceeded to get her attention and make her well aware that I did NOT appreciate her unbelievable behavior. Crystal then smiled at me and walked back to the kitchen to speak to her manager. When she came back out, I asked to speak to the manager and she told me he was busy cooking. So I then asked to speak with them again. The manager David came to the front to speak with me, only to tell me that he would speak to her. No apologies for her outrageous behavior and no remorse for the event that just occurred . Only that he needed to get back to cooking as he was short staffed. David (manager) and Crystal (food runner) should not be allowed to continue working at this company as they have NO customer service skills and this manager is allowing this woman to rudely disrespect guests in front of everyone in the restaurant.
Due to the disrespectful behavior displayed by the food runner, I’m unsure if she actually gave me her real name. Since the manager at this location approves of this kind of behavior, I’m hoping that this feedback reaches someone in the company that will actually address this situation. Feel free to reach out to me to speak more about...
Read moreI've lived in oak ridge longer than this restaurant has been here yet this is my first time (and my fiance first time) stepping foot into it and my first time eating their food. We were impressed from the beginning. It is really clean and roomy inside. We went at off peak time so there were just a few people in there and very quiet. The menu is really nice. Plenty of choices from soups to potatoes to sandwiches and salads. There is a pick 2 special that is exactly what it sounds like. I did salad and baked potatoes and he did soup and sandwich. The food was fresh made to our table and we didn't wait long from ordering to getting our food. It was so good. The potato was just the way a baked potato should be. We ate for right at 20 dollars which is standard cost for us two to go to casual or fast food restaurants so the prices are about equivalent to other restaurants like this. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions. Our first time was a positive experience and we will definitely be...
Read moreThis is the first time going and i must say it was terrible. I was going to order a potato only to find a sign saying they we out of all Potatoes. We ordered 2 Ruben sandwiches, a cup of broccoli soup, a cup of chicken dumpling "soup" and 2 fountain drinks. 29 dollars and some change. The mananager had to come to the register to help the cashier fix a mistake, she seen what the order was and told us the total. We went and got our drinks and set down only to have the cashier come to tell us they only had enough to make 1 Ruben that we could order a different sandwich. At this point we were like really, okay what ever. I ordered a French dip instead. Needless to say the Ruben was just corned beef and cheese on rye, no sour kraut or thousand island dressing. The chicken dumpling "soup" was cold and bland. The french dip was cold as well as the dip, the broccoli cheddar was cold and bland. As my first and last time going there i was very...
