Yosemite Wine Tails — Restaurant in Oakhurst

A long overdue review - my friend and I stopped here pre-COVID as we were staying at a motel down the road before hiking Four Mile Trail the next morning. We ended up staying longer (and drinking more wine!) than we had planned because the atmosphere was so warm and friendly, both human and canine! We had brought a card game (Exploding Kittens) and the owner Colette and another patron asked us to teach them how to play. The other patron wiped the floor with us. We had a blast. We were definitely a little tipsy by the end of the night (walking distance away!) and I think Colette was worried we were going to die on the mountain the next day (as the hike we had planned was fairly strenuous) and gave us her number in case we got in trouble. Wine Tails is the most fun place to go in Oakhurst! Colette the owner works very hard to please every guest and has great wine too. There are so many of us that love to go to Wine tails on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We have also met so many nice people there too. It is like our second home. If you get a chance whether you are a one time visitor or a local you don't want to miss this wonderful place. Oh and also they serve beer too! ...

This place is amazing! My partner and I came across this place looking for somewhere to have a drink after hiking in Yosemite all day. It exceeded our expectations! The owner, Colette, is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and goes out of her way to ensure you’re enjoying yourself! There’s a large selection of wine and beer, and her dog was present too which made the night extra enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip...
