Pierre Pierre — Restaurant in Oakland

Went last night for a girls night and that’s where the HELL began. We had reservations for 7:45pm. Walked in and there was no host at the Stand. We waited about 15mins before someone did come and she told us there were no seats/ table available and that we had to wait until something was available. So idk what the reservation was for. My cousin and I went over to the bar where this young man was vaping I mean fully smoking at the bar… anyway we waited another 15-20mins just to be greeted. My cousin ordered some drink can’t remember the name but the didn’t have the ingredients then she ordered the strawberry lemon drop and they didn’t have strawberries. So we said just give us what you have. So the bartender who told us as we made small talk that he didn’t even work there and that he was helping a friend made us a passion fruit lemon drop not going to lie it was great! By this time it’s 45 mins in and the host comes over and tell us that it will be another 10mins for a table. After finally getting seated we sat down in a loud a$$ room that was dim as h3ll and greeted with water. Thats where the second round of problems arrived. Our “waitress” and I use the term loosely because she had weave to the floor and nails long like Cardi B! Very unprofessional in a restaurant setting. Came over to take our order my cousin ordered the red snapper and a drink and I ordered the Cajun pasta. I wanted to try the wings so I asked the waitress what the type of sauce was and she COULD NOT explain it to me. I literally heard ummm huh 50 times before she said it’s really good I can’t describe it. I was irritated as heck! After 30mins pass no drink comes out and we are livid. In between time several serves come by to ask us if we were helped who was your waitress what did you order all to walk away and not come back idk the point of that I guess to look busy but it was irritating… time is passing and it’s getting louder and louder in there and the owner wasn’t doing NOTHING but walking around laughing and talking. Now it’s 9:30 and we don’t have any food no liquor nor more water so we get up and leave. Hungry thirsty and very disappointed. We couldn’t take the GHETTO hot mess that was happening around us. It looks like he hired his friends and family to come work for him because they ran the place like dysfunctional family reunion nobody had anything on that matched which in a restaurant is very important to in sync. I really hate that some black owned restaurants really don’t have the same standards that other restaurants do and it’s sad. Can’t rate the food cuz we didn’t get anything the atmosphere was loud and horrible and the service was BAD BAD BAD BAD. I won’t be back at all and all the paid advertisements on social media yall influencers need to keep it real however because they are influencers the service maybe very different. Anyway try it for yourself if you want to but I would not recommend it. He needs order and ASAP! This is my review summed up sorry it’s all over the place but I’m just so upset that we were not able to experience this “5star” restaurant y’all be lying I mean raving about oh and since yall can’t stick to people reservation time you need a table time limit! 90mins maybe that will help get things in...

So let me start out by saying I came to visit this restaurant and drove an hour to do so and I actually just left, with staff making sure we made it to our car safe (more about that later). I love to go out to eat and I do so regularly but only leave a review if the experience is horrible or exceptional. Let me tell you when Lamar asked to place my napkin on my lap I was already side eyeing like they’re trying to look good, but let’s see. Lamar was very attentive and had suggestions when asked for them and made us feel as if he had all the time in the world for us when we could clearly see he had other tables. Sarah (I read her name tag) I bothered for napkins, bags etc. every time she walked by but she NEVER made me feel as if I was a bother. So in short I was impressed by the service. Now on to the food. We ordered the flight of wings, oxtail Rasta pasta, rack of lamb, broccolini and Brussel sprouts. Everything was a 10 out of 10. The drinks I was actually able to taste the alcohol and was tipsy after the first one. I’m no quitter though so I ordered the strawberry drop and passion (something) 13th. Both amazing! Everything was great but what topped the night for me was when we, me and my female cousin got ready to leave the gentlemen that seated us came out and caught us to walk us the two blocks to our car. I love a restaurant that is attentive while patronizing than and when you leave they still look out. That stood out to me more than anything. I love any business but especially a black owned business that cares about their ppl, meaning the ppl that spend their hard earned money with them. We will...

The girls and I decided to walk in after going to a prior event. We walked in and found space right at the bar. We waited for about 15min before we got acknowledged and helped. There were 3 guys at the bar working it. But never did i think the owner was one of them...Why? Because he never not once acknowledged us. When asked how our experience was i expressed that the Crack wings were the best out of the flight, the deep fried deviled eggs did their thang,surf and turf mac n cheese was cool. Drinks were pretty solid, but we didn't feel welcomed, Don was great but seemed slammed. Apparently he asked for help when we asked for another round of drinks, but his partner forgot about us, so he in turn had to pick up the slack. Once I expressed my shock when I inquired who the guy was in the white shirt was and his lack of eye contact, especially as a "bartender ", I was taken back to learn that he was the owner. Typically when it is a place that you are a owner of you want to ensure your patrons are enjoying their experience, not sure what was going on this evening. This place was highly recommended by several people so I may have to give it another...
