Main Squeeze — Restaurant in Oakland

I wouldn’t recommend Main Squeeze. The man taking my order had an attitude acted like I was asking for the moon and the stars when I asked how many grams of protein was in the extra scoop of protein that I was paying for. If you’re offering protein as an additive on your menu, at the bare minimum you should know how much protein is in the scoop. If you don’t know, you should simply look at the nutrition facts on the container you’re scooping it out of. Clearly that was too difficult, because he refused to do it, then asked me, “so do you want the protein or not.” The sweet girl behind the counter gave me an accurate number, she just looked on the container, and she is the only reason I’m giving this place two stars. This is without a doubt my favorite lace to get acai bowls (now that Whole Foods stopped making theirs). All of the bowls and smoothies and amazing and I've heard the same about their other house items. My go to are the Alpha Bowl and the Maca Mama smoothie. Apparently, you can get their juices in a 32oz bottle. Employees are almost always kind and polite. And yes, they take card.

There's no place inside to enjoy your food but there is a single bench right outside. If you prefer, there's also park across the street and Lake Merritt down the street. I almost always find parking that's no more than a 30 sec walk away. This place is popular but is rarely ever crowded. Store is cramped, and service is very slow! Bowls could be good, however I've watched their prices rise so high! Now, a juice shot is three dollars! For a little shot! I had once gotten an acai bowl (for 10 dollars btw) and it wasn't properly blended and had big chunks of frozen acai.
